It had been a long while since I had gone for greek, so the hubs and I hit Dorians for lunch. He had a chicken kabob, and I had lamb chops, with mint sauce, of course! It was good, the service was great, and now I'm good for awhile. So much on the menu I wold have also liked to... More

We arrived at 5 pm on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was not busy but did get busy as the evening wore on. The restaurant prepared a special for the evening - lamb. We found the lamb to be ok but over cooked as it was "not fall off the bone juicy". Service was ok however I think the servers... More

The rack of lamb with calamari is something I just can't get enough of. I crave the lemon roasted potatoes... Service is always prompt and food arrives timely unless it's a full house (which has been often!) but even then the waits not long. Order some pita and hummus to tide you over. Definitely put this place on your list... More

Went out to eat there about a week ago, I got my food and it was gross, the owners we're absolute snobs and didn't care about their business at all.

I do appreciate good and bad reviews but this one is so obviously false and seems to be written by a child....not a traveler writing an honest review about my restaurant. First off there is 1 owner not multiple owners and that is me. Secondly I care a great deal about my restaurant and my great staff. Thirdly I'm not... More

I have been there twice. Both times I ordered the Calamari. The first time was excellent, the second time was horrible. The Calamari was soft and not crunchy like it should be. My husband is a chef and he said it was old. When Calamari gets old you soak it in milk to get rid of the fishy smell which... More

Wandering down the street we came across this wonderful Greek restaurant. Being there at the time it opened for dinner, we didn't have to wait to be seated. Food was very good and I felt quite authentic. My wife had the spanokapita dinner and I the chicken souvlaki. Both very good. The dishes both came with real greek salad (no... More

A group of ten for a birthday dinner. I was really looking forward to moussaka. I prefer moussaka made with eggplant, but theirs is made with zucchini. Recently, I had zucchini moussaka at a different Greek restaurant and was very disappointed, so I stayed away from it and I settled on Greek styled boiled ribs. They were ok. Fall off... More

Locals rave about this greek restaurant, but if you've had good greek anywhere else, like Kelowna or Vancouver, you'll be sorely disappointed. Terrible slow, uncaring service even when its nearly empty.. all three times we went, all three times my lamb was cold. not just 'not hot' but cold. like it had been nuked and not long enough. when I... Thanks for taking time to write a review. I have to say this review shocks me. I have two servers that I have personally known for many years and they both dont remember anyone saying that their lamb was cold. They are amazing women and would not have given anyone and icy stare. As an owner I am there everyday... More

Description
Dorian’s Greek Taverna is a restaurant located in downtown Vernon, B.C. The new owners invite all guests, previous and new to experience authentic Greek cuisine cooked to perfection by our new culinary-trained chef. We pride ourselves in providing freshly made meals served by our friendly and efficient serving staff. We do our best to ensure that you feel comfortable in our clean restaurant and inviting atmosphere. While our menus have been re-vamped and now easier to read, our menu items are more flexible and the prices have changed only minutely to meet the flexibility of the menu. A new feature to our menus is that we have wine pairings to indicate a perfect match of a dish and the wine. To our drink menu, we have added Dorian’s Cellar White Wines and Cellar Red Wines. In addition, besides our regular and popular Greek dessert, baklava, we have new homemade desserts every week. Come visit us; try our new wines and our authentic Greek cuisine.
