This place has great comfy ambience. The service is good, not intrusive but on point. The wine selection was great and the food was fabulous. the pork tenderloin was delicious.

They have the best hand crafted cocktails in town. You have to try their Spanish coffee (with hand made whip cream) berry white, house-made eggnog and whiskey and of course the also house-made mulled wine. It’s the best I’ve ever had. Alta bistro continues to...More

The soup was phenomenal. The restaurant was ok. You walk by the bar to get to your table. The starter and main courses weren’t memorable. Too fancy without any congruity.

Really creative (without being odd) and thoughtfully prepared cuisine. Had a very nice dinner of roasted snapper, a very fresh, substantial salad, and celery root soup that obliterated the rest of the meal from memory. Not likely to stop obsessing about this one anytime soon!...More

Was really looking forward to a great meal after a wonderful day in whistler. Started with warmed olives- very nice. Elk tartar and chicken liver parfait- great- only problem is the wafer is way too thin for the dense meat- crumbled very easily. Roasted B.C....More

Alta Bistro is that perfect combination of interesting dishes made with locally sourced products and a casual atmosphere. The jars of preserves that decorate the walls and the Whistler retro posters add to the charm. A bit pricey, but worth it. We loved the venison,...More

Locally inspired cuisine set in a casual bistro atmosphere. Chef Nicholas Cassettari combines his classic training, top tier experience, and world travels with the best of B.C.'S bounty to create the fine flavours at Alta Bistro. Service is casual and prompt in the dining room and bar. The wine list is French focused, with the best of B.C. As well as international selections (many by the glass) with Enomatic machines dispensing fine and eclectic selections to pair with Alta's cuisine. Mixologists behind our bar craft some of Whistler's finest cocktails. The cozy bistro atmosphere is lively and welcoming. Reservations are a must.
