On the recommendation of our b&b host we rode our tandem bike over to Cafe Ce Soir. At 8 in the evening it was quite busy, but they did have one open table and they did seat us for dinner. I had a potato & dumpling that was great. My wife had a chicken sandwich that was great as well.... More

Disclaimer: I have a healthy appetite. I also really like duck so, I couldn't resist when I saw it on the menu. It was succulent. Cooked to perfection with a grenadine sauce, caramelized shallots and just the right sprinkling of blue cheese, it was also very small-- as was the accompanying house salad, dressed in a tasty vinaigrette. My friend... More

On a whim, we dropped in for lunch. Not much too look at from the outside. Inside, you find a very tiny restaurant, with a limited but extremely interesting menu. They do offer weekly specials in addition to the regular menu items. The food is prepared fresh, so it takes a bit of time to get to the table, but... More

Four of us went for lunch recently. The food was fresh, tasty, original and creative. Both the server and the young woman preparing the food were full of good cheer and thoughtfulness with the food preparation as well as serving us. The atmosphere is casual and gives one the sense of being in a European cafe. Everyone liked their lunches,... More

I went here for lunch w another person. The decor is absolutely cute and comfy. The food (French) sounds wonderful and IS absolutely fantastic. Service was a little bit slower, but worth it. Prices are reasonable and... did I mention the food is fantastic? We had the French dumplings (like fried wontons w cheese dip), French onion soup, Niçoise salad,... More

Some of the best brunch in Winnipeg right now. French Toast is amazing and simply the best German Pancake I've had. We haven't ventured past those... yet ;) Server and chef are always super friendly, lots of smiles and great service. Can be a bit drafty in the colder months so bring a sweater or wrap.

On a recent visit to Winnipeg, my brother said we just had to try this restaurant and to ensure we had a good experience called ahead to request cornish game hen which he had had on a previous visit. When we arrived it was not even on the menu but indeed two of our party had the fresh hens cooked... More

Absolutely wonderful food - this is not a fast food café - the wait is not overly long for the quality of the food and the taste is magnifique! Lunched here twice and brunched once on a weekend and consistently yum! Friendly Chef Cam and his serving staff will look after you. Roughly across the street from DeLuca's and parking... More

Peaches and pork with buttered basmati, fresh greens, baguette from epi bakery, coquilles st jacques was heavenly, my flat bread pizza with bacon and onion was delicious and other dishes and desserts were tasty and beautifully presented. Service was efficient and drinks available. Must have a reservation for this tiny gem of a culinary winner. You gotta eat here!
