We had the #3 Ramen bowel (spicy), along with tempura battered veggies, A California roll and the dynamite roll. Our meal was fantastic. The service was friendly although they were very busy.

I stopped here with a dozen friends and family on the recommendation of a Japanese friend. Their online menu does not do justice to the options available at the restaurant. From traditional fare such as seaweed salad, miso soup and nigiri to great noodle dishes, beef and deep fried ice cream, there was something for everyone. The quality was quite... More

Living in Halifax there are many sushi places, Taco is my favourite as they make them fresh, not usually a long wait, small quite area, but price is worth how fresh it tastes!

My first visit here was pretty darn good. We ordered a lovely sushi roll pictured on the menu, which for some strange reason, was not on listed on the menu. Whatever it was, it was wonderful, almost too big to eat and filled with lots and lots yummy, fishy goodness. I've attached a pic with my review. My daughter and... More

OK, this might not be a fancy restaurant, it is definitely not anywhere near downtown Halifax, but... and I mean but it is so worth the trip even if you don't live in Clayton Park or are simply visiting Halifax. First and foremost the food is amazing. The fish is fresh, the flavours are vibrant and the presentation delicate and... More

Went there twice and loved their sushi that even though it's quite expensive I will go again. I recommend their seafood chowder to start.

I am always happy to come here, because the owner is such a a friendly person. We ordered four sushi rolls, spicy salmon, spicy tuna, hurricane (fish with avocado) and yam tempura. Every thing was sooo delicious. Each piece of maki was big, tasty, and fresh. The waitress was really nice, and gave us guava candies when she brought us... More

Talk about a serendipitous discovery. My friend and I were in Halifax and had our sights set on a Chinese restaurant in Clayton Park. But we got there on one of the days it was closed. Tako was just a few doors down, we were hungry and we headed there. We found a friendly greeting, efficient service, good prices, a... More

The restaurant was laid out comfortably. The menu was confusing. I didn't quite know what I was ordering. Fresh. Meat and potatoes sort of meal. Maybe I chose wrong.
