Stopped here on a cruise and wandered the waterfront for a while. When I saw this little fish shack I knew I had to stop for a bite. The fish tasted so fresh, the batter not heavy at all. With a little lemon and tartar sauce...yum! The fries could have been a little crispier but we're still good. Totally worth... More

Ordered 2 pc chips & frys + 1 order clams from food truck, Bedford Hwy. Everything was way too greasy - maybe even over cooked. Shoestring frys don't take much but these came out dark, dark brown and smelled of the fryer. Clams likewise. Maybe old fat? I expected better.

For the longest time I didn't think anyone would ever have better fish and chips than John's lunch, but this place does! Being right on the waterfront makes it so nice to be able to take a stroll around, get fish and chips, eat outside on the water; it's perfect for a nice summer day. I've had a lot of... More

Definitely tourist trap. Overpriced 41 dollars for two lobster rolls on a hot dog bun and two pops. Only thing positive is the boardwalk atmosphere.

My favourite battered fish in Halifax! The batter is light and delicious and the fish is always wonderfully fresh! They are also fast, despite almost always having a line-up. Skip the fries though, they are average at best.

My wife and I ate lunch here recently while visiting Halifax. Had read a review in Fodors that touted the wonders of their Fish 'n Chips. So, we followed the advice and were sorely disappointed. The fish was saturated in oil and the fries were luke-warm at best...and, many small pieces, most likely the runts of the basket. There are... More

We came here for a quick dinner and tried the fish and chips, they were better than we thought for a quick bite and there are tables outside on the boardwalk with great views. We tried to go here on Sunday at noon but they were closed even though other spots around it were open. We waited for 30 minutes... More

Stopped here for lunch and was impressed with how fresh the food was. Unfortunately they were out of chowder at the time, but we still had a great meal. My husband ordered the lobster roll and fries and I had the chicken fingers and fries. Both were tasty and really fresh. A nice place to stop on the boardwalk and... More

Not bad Fish & Chips , ordered a 3 piece, and they include one pack of tartar, I ask for extra and they give a second pack. This turned me off, They are racking in the cash , this place is a Goldmine. You can get better product at a dozen restaurants in HRM for less cash. Unfortunately for them... More

My husband and I were craving a last seafood fix and were a little skeptical with a fast food kiosk but were very pleased. I had fried clams and substituted the fries for the seafood chowder for a few extra dollars. Both were delicious. The clams were crisp and tasty; the chowder hearty. My husband really enjoyed his lobster roll,... More
