Stopped in here based on the reviews and the fact that our hotel was a block away. Sushi was very good, although rolls were a bit smaller than I'm used to. Service was average but such a small place not hard to get someone's attention...More

The chef's philosophy is really cool. Service was quite slow. The food was good, but nothing remarkable. Average price for sushi in Halifax.
Absolutely delicious sushi - it's so fresh and perfectly presented. Shige is the nicest guy in the world and it's a very comfortable place to eat - they make you feel like a regular even if you are not

My husband and one son each had the Sakura sushi dinner, another son had the tempura dinner. I had the sashimi and sushi dinner. Really fresh, excellent service. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. One of my favourite dinners so far in Halifax.
This is what sushi is supposed to be. Location is simple, food excellent and authentic. ごちそっ さま でした! Halifax has maybe 4 real sushi restaurants. This is one.
This quaint place makes you think it's nothing special, but the food is fantastic. The sushi chef is so nice. Our group was estactic. A few of us ate there more than once.
