Went here Nov 18 to celebrate a friends birthday. We had a reservation, and when we arrived, the staff seemed confused on where to sit us. Found the bar way to bright for a pub. The first drink I ordered was completely wrong. I switched up to crown royal and they price it exceptionally well. I was very pleased with... More

I stopped at the Triangle for a beer and quick evening meal. The pub atmosphere was great, and, complete with live music. The beer selection is amazing. I had the Shepherd's Pie, it was homemade and authentic. I highly recommend a stop at the Triangle.

It has a comfortable old pub atmosphere, a wide selection of cold beer, and great food for the three plates we tries : seafood chowder, shepherd's pie, and braised lamb shank. All very well done indeed served piping hot and quickly. Very friendly staff, good atmosphere...a great pub dinner had by all.

We read about the music and dancing taking place Sunday afternoon and decided to have lunch while enjoying the entertainment. Our food was excellent and the server very friendly. The place was busy but our food still arrived in a short time and hot. The music and dancers arrived while we were having a drink before eating. The musicians sat... More

Ok in all fairness, you might of had me at "Irish" and "ale house". Enough can't be said about this amazing treat in Halifax! From the huge selection of whiskey and beer to a menu that has something for everyone. Large portions and fresh ingredients will bring me back again. We started with mussels and bruschetta and we should have... More

It has been a month since we had dinner at ``The Old Triangle'' and I can still vividly remember its inviting atmosphere, welcoming Irish music, excellent food, service and wide variety of beer and whiskies. We arrived in Halifax by cruise ship and had some trouble finding ``The Triangle'' (about a five block walk from cruise terminal.) As a guide,... More

Located one block up from the waterfront boardwalk. Pub/Restaurant offers three seperate levels with their own unique look. Great sidewalk patio too in the warm months. Lively entertainment and good food (love the fish cakes and beans).

It's right around the corner from the Hollis Halifax so it was convenient. The menu is not too extensive but good enough to find something that you will like. Beer is great and the service is adequate.

Great location in the downtown core, this pub has tremendous on tap selections. Traditional pub interior. Good pub style menu. Staff was excellent, very friendly and attentive. For a lazy Saturday afternoon, a great choice.

Nova Scotian's take pub life for granted. However, if you're from the West Coast or Central Canada you could go visit the Maritimes just to go pub crawling. The atmosphere is superb, the food is great and the service outstanding. This is not a romantic dinner, it's an evening to share music and a good time with your fellow human... More
