Henry house had a great vibe and sitting by the window to watch the activity on the street was enjoyable. The small group I was with tried several items, seafood chowder, mussels, salt cod fish cakes and sticky toffee pudding and apple crisp for dessert....More

The food was very good. The Haddock dinner and fish and chips were excellent. The Poutine appetizer was mediocre and came cold to the table with congealed cheese curds. The nachos were average. Great beer selection. The historical background of the building was fascinating. The...More

The setting in an historic building with two fireplaces is nice; the service was prompt and friendly; the food was disappointing. We've eaten here many times over the years and the quality of the food has gone down hill. The Nova Scotia fishcakes are not...More

The service is always pleasant. Their food has never disappointed. Their goat cheese and pear salad is wonderful. Their goat cheese stuffed chicken wrapped in bacon tastes even better than it sounds. I have a hard time ordering other things on the menu since my...More

A restaurant in a 200 year old house. The ambiance was decadent while remaining true to a feel of a traditional pub feel. The service was astounding - not too intrusive while being attentive. Between the six of us we have 4 different dishes and...More

The atmosphere alone is worth a visit to this historical pub, especially on a cold night when you can sit by the fire. The service and food are great too! On a recent visit we indulged in seafood chowder followed by fish and chips. The...More

Finally found a restaurant that serves old fashioned steak & kidney pie. Had to come to Halifax to finally enjoy one. Cooked to perfection, lots of meat and the gravy was to die for. Strongly recommend this meal.

I don't believe so but not absolutely certain. Try the waterfront area for shellfish, including the marketplace.
