The atmosphere is up-beat and alive. The wait-staff all have kilts and smiles. When we told them there was five of us the maitre de hesitated but quickly found us a table upstairs. Right in the back corner, I thought for a moment that this was going to be bad but the server was very attentive and effective. The wings... More

This place is the spot for University students to let loose. It's crowded and busy and loud. 2 Levels of seating. Bottom Floor converts to patio in summer. If you don't want to eat in the middle of campus bar night come around 4 pm. Not for this old guy again though. Party On !!

Had lunch at McCabe s Irish Pub in Guelph. Good and service was very good. Found portion sizes and cost an issue. A 16oz domestic draft is over $6. Still a good place to eat downtown.

Stopped In for a quick brew with my wife on a Sunday afternoon. The staff was friendly but the place was in dire need of a renovation or at least a good scrub down. I just seemed to stick to everything lol. The atmosphere was good but I guess I expected a little more class from this Irish pub. Might... More

Arrived at Sat night dinner time. Son works here so stopped. We got appetizers wolith the main. Burger was not hot. Had to ask for basic stuff like cutlery and salt and pepper. Overall, poor service.

Usually can't go wrong picking an Irish pub. Mccabe's is one of the better. Food & service were good. Had issues with one drink selection but the bartender was quick to correct and insure our satisfaction. Don't sit along the window on a cold winter evening. They are not insulated. My feet were frozen by the time we left.

Met up here with some friends while in town. We got there on Monday night and took advantage of the half price pizza deal. The pizza's where really tasty and only 6 bucks each!! Service was great, food was great, lots of TVs to watch the game. My new favorite Monday night hangout when I go to Guelph.

A large group of us went in after an event. We had the use of the upper level. The server at no point made note of who was with who within the group. We paid our bill and then was told the next day by another member of the group that we had left without paying. I called the next... More

It's always good when a restaurant is full. You tend to hope it's full because the food and service are good. It's not always the case. The food was excellent but the service was on the poor side. Our food came late, not that we were expecting fast food timing after we put our order in, but 45 minutes for... More

Too loud and slow service, so left. Young crowd and the energy was aggressive and the place was too dark and worn looking.
