Expensive menu items for a dinner that wasn't very good. Dry fish and chips and a boring chicken wrap. Kids meals were OK as they were inexpensive. The dinner buffet was ridiculously expensive. The service was good as the restaurant was almost empty but there were plenty of staff around.

My goat cheese/spinach salad was fresh, generous and tasty. My husband had the garlic bread and chili and enjoyed it. Friendly service.

We stopped here on a trip between Toronto and Ottawa for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. It is just a couple of kilometers from Highway 401 so easy to get off and back on to continue our trip. There was a varied menu with plenty of options to fit most tastes. Cloth napkins were a nice touch and the facility... More

the rib steak was good. For my husband and myself it cost $56.00 with the tip. It was raining and we didn't want to travel into Kingston to eat.

Hotel restaurants are often hidden gems, where you often find a good chef with a great imagination. Not at JM's though, which is part of the Ambassador Hotel & Conference Centre. The menu was predictable and unimaginative. Four starters and four main courses later, the food was universally acceptable. Large portions, but otherwise quite average. The place almost lost a... The name 'Joseph's Lounge' may sound unusual but the atmosphere is just what you need after a lousy (excuse the expression) day. The place has excellent food; the chef is great....and the beverages are exactly how they should be whether it's a cold beer with just right head or that scotch with 'just one cube'. They have wings which I... More

We spent a couple of nights in the Ambassador, which I also did a full review of, and ate here a few times during the stay. Or first night we went down to the restaurant. We ordered the chili and a quesadilla. Both dishes were so very good. We were told that the chili has won awards, and I certainly... More

On an evening when an entertainer is playing the piano Joseph's can be a treat. When the hotel is full of Hockey, Baseball or Soccer TEAMS - not so much The reserved parking for the Restaurant / Lounge is a good idea - but frequently filled by conference goers not in the Lounge or Restaurant !
