Unless you like to pay 10$ for hospital frozen potatoes, barely cooked bacon and 2 eggs. You can get much better in the neighborhood for cheaper.

This place gives you a typical pub experience, which was exactly what I wanted. I had the fish and chips. The fish was moist and flakey, and the amount of food was perfect. Friendly service.

The service was good, the food was delicious, the staff friendly, and the place clean. Maple BBQ wings were not too spicy and a hint of maple. I had curry chicken with basmati rice with naan -tasty without being over-powering. Hubby had fish and chips - a large serving and good -tasting beer batter (too greasy for me, but he... More

Oh man, this place has really slipped! The last time I ate here, about nine months ago, I had a truly superb Reuben on marble rye with generous slabs of fresh-tasting smoked meat. I couldn't finish it, the portion was so large. I ordered the same plate last night and got a congealed mess on toasted white bread, about the... More

They have microbrews, so my 'excellent' rating was for the Barking Squirrel, one of my favourite brews. The service was very friendly and not at all slow. We ordered burgers, they have quite a selection. The kitchen missed an item on one of the burgers, but they quickly put it right. This was my first visit. I needed a place... More

When I need to visit my favourite camera store in Ottawa I use the occasion to cross the street and have lunch at The Berryman Pub & Grill. Mark is a gracious host and also the owner who doubles as my server. About 3 visits ago, I asked Mark if the chef could add blackened chicken to my Caesar Salad.... More

Went looking for a place that would be serving a late breakfast or brunch. Nearby Wilf & Ada's had a long line so went just up the street and found this pub advertising what we were looking for. Portions were large and I loved the Eggs Benedict while my dtr went for the 3 egg plus meat (lots) breakfast which... More

After visiting my favourite camera store I walked across the street to my favourite pub and grill in Ottawa. This was my second visit to Berryman’s; the last time the Senators were playing the Rangers on their big screen LCD TVs. This time it was the Tim Horton’s Brier. I started with a very delicious Tomato Dill soup which had... More

My photographic seminar was to begin in 45 minutes and I was hungry. I spotted this charming looking Bank Street pub and decided to give it a try. I was “super” pleased with my decision. I took a bar stool and gave the menu a quick read and quickly ordered what looked like a standard cheeseburger platter and told my... More
