First, it is not really in the Byward Market: not a huge walk from there, but it is on the Sparks Street Pedestrian Mall, not the market. But very close to the War Memorial and Parliament Hill. Decent restaurant, part of the Fionn MacCool's chain, currently part of Cara foods. Nice atmosphere, friendly waiter, good beer and decent pub food for... More

We went for an after noon snack with a beer. Upon arrival we had to ask to sit because we were just standing with no one coming to see us. Afterward, the service was great and staff friendly though. They have their beer of the day for only $4 which was great. We had the onion soup which was very... More

Went early on a Saturday night and got sat in a uninspiring table where we couldn't see anything other than each other. The food was good but not incredible. Considering I had an Irish dinner I figured it would be better than it was. My friend said his burger was very good.

A standard chain restaurant. Our burgers were very good, the service was efficient but decidedly unfriendly. A little smile can make a difference.

We went early because we know they can get busy but we were still crammed downstairs at a high top table where we were bumped into all meal. The server was nice enough and quite helpful. The food was good but the coffee tasted like it had sat there for a while and the margaritas were made with some cheap... More

We popped into D'arcy McGees for lunch and we were not disappointed. We had two toddlers with us, which was not an issue as the restaurant had high chairs and a kids menu. Great pub ambiance. The menu was pretty standard. Meat pies were a heavy on the pastry and light on meat, but still tasty. Fish tacos were served... More

I was here on a night adventure and stopped into this pub. The menu was simple and had variety to it. They have a solid selection of whiskey's. I ordered the balvenie 12 with spinach and artichoke dip. The dip came piping hot and was tasty. I would order it again.

After wandering the streets of Ottawa we stumbled into this pub looking for great food and drinks and we were rewarded. The bread with beer/cheese dip was good and the chicken pot pie was heavenly. It was very busy that evening but the service was great. Enjoyed the full menu that you don't get when going to this pub in... More

Very loud young atmosphere. The food was sub par, the potato chips were extremely salty, but the brownie was a good portion for sharing, and the service was efficient. The environment was not very comfortable or inviting unless you were really drunk and didn't care. Will not return.
