Great local breakfast options delivered quickly in a friendly atmosphere. Busy, waiting looks to be not uncommon, but tables turn over fairly quickly.

Food was fantastic!!! Service was friendly. When we arrived it was full and we had to wait but it was less time than initially expected.

Great breakfast. Friendly and fast service. Good value. Hangover breakfast is enough for two. Highly recommended.

it is a very busy place but fast, with the diner touch, those girls never stop from cleaning tables to serving food. the plates are full and if you are still hungry when you leave it is because you never finished your plate

Iconic diner with a great reputation for offering comfort food. Can't go wrong with Elgin Street Diner. Most recently here with some of my daughter's Peewee teammates and parents. Great breakfast offerings. Quick service. No frills. Bottomless coffee. Spilled a cup as the server was pouring. Big mess. He was nonplussed and gracious about it.

Nine of us in our family (ranging in age from 4 to 57) went here last weekend while on our road trip to Winterlude. The food was very good and the portions were generous. My family and I decided to come to the Elgin Street Diner for dinner while on a brief trip to Ottawa. We were staying downtown so it was a little out of the way but very worth it. The food was excellent and the dessert selection is wonderful.

The service was great. Fast and friendly. And the steak and cheese poutine was excellent! A little walk from downtown but worth it.
