Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was disappointed with my pasta dish; although I confess my friend's pizza and arugula salad looked very tasty as did her pizza. My rigatoni pasta was overcooked to the point of falling apart and the sauce was unappetizing - it seemed to be a...lukewarm tomato paste, oversweet, with few chunks of braised beef and far too much sauce for the amount of pasta on my plate. It also arrived already topped with cheeze already that I don't believe was parmesan, looked (and tasted) more like mozzarella which I definitely don't want. The service was decent though and I confess I may try it again to sample the pizza.More

The pizza marinara was tasteless except for the acidic sauce. Eating a slice, which I barely could, was like biting into rubber. The last three years have changed this location and not for the better.

Great location and excellent customer service. The pizza is the best we have had in the city. Lots of seating and reservations we not needed and we ate at lunch and a dinner on a separate day. We liked it so much we made two...trips. The drink selection is accommodating to everyone.More

This was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! If you’re looking for a nice evening meal or a tasty Italian pizza, this is the perfect place to go. Our waitress was lovely and it had a nice chilled out vibe. I would definitely...recommend! I also have quite a few allergies and this restaurant was very accommodating and made me feel comfortable.More

Friendly staff and delicious pizza, really thin base, fresh tomato sauce. Lemon ricotta dessert so yummy, never really order dessert but this was so light yet creamy.

Good service. Great Neapolitan pizzas, one of the best and most authentic in the city. Ordered the Diavola, Nduja and the Funghi pizzas and all three were amazing. Highly recommend this place if you like Neapolitan pizzas.

We had a very friendly server, (missed getting her name, z blonde female). My wife and I shared beef carpaccio, arancini, a Diavola pizza and tiramisu. The tiramisu was great, everything else was okay. Not great, not bad....just okay.

We were looking for a casual dinner in downtown Toronto, and ended up finding the Pizzeria Libretto on University Ave. It was a weeknight, and we were seated without a reservation. The service was good, and the pizzas were authentic and came quickly. My partner...had the margherita ($18C), and I had the capricciosa ($22C). Both were cooked perfectly and served hot. Nice dinner while exploring Toronto city center.More

Landwer’s loss (40 min wait?) was Libretto’s (and our) gain. A few years ago we didn’t have a great experience here. This time, everything was great. Special pizza (tomato three ways) was delish. Server was very attentive. Although the focaccia was good, $5 for that...tiny portion is a bit of a stretch…More

This is one of these places that takes the attitude of you should be overwhelming grateful we gave you a table without a reservation. Atmosphere is mostly post-work office crowd, and its a comfortable restaurant. However, the staff are appalling: one tried to remove the...plates while we were still eating, yet trying to get their attention for anything else is impossible, and the pleasantries disappear quickly after you ask them a question about the menu. The only way I can describe the staff is 'arrogant but jaded'. And then they expect a tip for this. It's a shame as the the pizza is really, really good.More

Pizza is one of those things I've missed most since being diagnosed with Celiac Disease because it's been the toughest thing to find a good replacement for. I went to Pizzeria Libretto yesterday and was amazed by how good it was! It's so comforting to...have a good pizza option near me! My friend had a regular (not gluten free) pizza and also had amazing things to say! Great meal, great wine, 10/10 would recommend!More

Our daughter, who lives in Toronto, made reservations for dinner.. I wanted to come here because of reviews I had seen and this worked out well.We were seated and looked after promptly. We had a burrata appetizer to share and it was excellent. The pizzas,...as well, were very good. A reasonable selection of pizzas and appetizers was available. I tried the anchovy pizza, which I had before in Rome, and it was well made. It was a pleasant evening with good food and good service. We would definitely go back.More

Having been to the original location on Ossington and the 2nd on the Danforth many times I expected the same quality when booking a table for 9 for my mother’s 70th birthday. While the food was good (save for the burrata pizza which had too...much sauce and a glob of runny burrata) the service was awful. Arrived 30 mins early and ordered a bottle of wine. Took them 20 minutes to tell me that they didn’t have the wine I ordered than another 10 to bring it’s replacement. Slow, slow and slow. Took forever to get another bottle ordered and there were very few checks throughout the 2 hour dining experience to ask if we wanted more wine or if there were issues with the food. When I did advise them that the burrata pizza was inedible they took it away and didn’t bother taking it off the cheque. I’ll never go to this location again. I’ll stick to the other locations.More

They have little to no gluten free options, as their pizzas are wheat-based.
