Enjoyed my meal, as did my colleague. Great food at reasonable prices for the calibre and location of this hotel restaurant. Service was attentive and discreet. Would recommend Victor restaurant for business dinners.

My wife and I went to Victor for the first time last night, and we’ll definitely be going back—for the food, the service, and (though it might be a little different next time, as we’re told there are impressive renovations planned) the atmosphere. I’ve been a server in some high-end joints for decades, so my expectations are high. I’m also... More

My sister hosted her wedding reception at Victor Restaurant and it was an AMAZING experience! It is a perfect location for a elegant and intimate reception. Ellen, the Event Coordinator was very helpful and highly professional. The venue was really accommodating of our requests. The service was exceptional - the staff was very attentive! We opted for a buffet style... More

We were pleasantly surprised! We weren't sure what to expect based on other reviews. We had dollar oysters on a Tuesday. Condiments for them were tasty. Perogies were the best we've ever had. Crab cakes and scallops were decent. Dessert sampling plate that was very good and a bottle of prosecco and Viognier with our courses. For a total under... More

We randomly picked this and it was OK. Nothing to write home about -- but not horrible by any means. Food was good, staff was terrific, but the small tables were cramped with a flower and a candle. We watched the poor waiter knock over drinks and things twice. -- We felt so bad for him -- It wasn't his... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
