A tremendous evening from start to finish....great cocktails in the bar from a very gracious and professional Melissa followed by exceptional service from Tristan in the dining room. Meal highlights included appetizers of octopus and potato, the duck salad, and the foie gras on toasted brioche. As impressive, was our main course of truffled cavetelli. With wines recommended to match... More

I had the pleasure of having a delicious business dinner at Nota Bene with one of our service providers. Our waiter was excellent and provided use with great service throughout the evening. We started with a charcuterie & cheese board for the table and ordered a nice bottle of Barolo. I had the warm octopus salad with potatoes for my... More

I have been to Note Bene many times year after year. It never disappoints and service and food is Top Notch. Simply put this is must to anyone traveling to Toronto. You will enjoy the Ambiance, Service, and Food. It is not pretentious and great place for any event. Dress is smart casual but not over the top. I highly... More

The waiter told us that the restaurant has just been completely re-done as well and their menu (except for a couple signature dishes). Every thing we tried was delicious, just let your waiter guide you through the options and help you choose. My recommendation will be to order several small plates and share because you're going to want to taste... More

This place is fantastic -but it doesn't come cheap! Drinks were terrific, they brought out a whole mess of spices, flowers, fruit to add in, and best of all, let us add as required. So we got the perfect drinks and no complaints. My bunless burger was delicious! It was cooked perfectly medium rare as I'd asked. It was topped... More

Recently 7 of us went for lunch at Nota Bene. I found the atmosphere very cold, the service was slow, unfriendly, inattentive and generally cold as well. The food selection was very limited; the seabass had too much salt too much butter and then my expresso served cold. The others in my group felt that it was an average meal.... More

We had a drink in the bar before going to our table. The bar is nice enough and quieter than most in the area, so probably nice if you want to avoid a noisy after work place. The food was OK, but nothing special. The dishes on the menu varied greatly and it seemed like they don't really know what... More

Nothing worse than a very expensive restaurant serving terribly cooked food. Pasta dish had so much garlic we could smell it while it was being brought. Osso Buco wasn't cooked properly, tough and full of cartilage. Thought we were doing our out-of-town guests a favour suggesting the restaurant. What a terrible mistake!

Lovely contemporary decor with plenty of space between tables, flawless service and delicious food. We stopped in for a late lunch and enjoyed bunless brisket with cheese and bacon on arugula, also served with the most incredible onion rings. The burger was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and the onion rings dainty (?1/8") crisp, hot and light (approx $26.) Wine... More
