Local pub offering a good variety of choices, good service and tasty food. It is nice having a variety of pubs and eateries in your neighborhood

Here's the thing: this is a small local watering hole, so as a local, I really want to see them succeed. The problem is that they really haven't put much thought into making this a pleasant environment for the type of people who are emerging in the area (young families and DINK's, in addition to the older Baby Point population).... The restaurant neon sign states, "20+ beers on draft". I asked 2 staff to suggest the hoppiest beer. Both had no clue. When asked what is the difference between Beer and Ale, again clueless. A pub that boasts that kind of beer selection should know the beer styles, alcohol content, IBU's and the location of the brewery. I had the... More

Since moving to the neighbourhood two months ago, my husband and I have been here several times already. The staff often remember us and have remembered that I'm a vegetarian! We feel at home here, but wish the food was of higher quality. Even for pub food, this place is lacking.

We live a couple of blocks from Fiddlers Dell and were quite excited when it underwent a makeover a few years ago from a mediocre diner-style restaurant to quite an attractive bar and grill setup. Alas, while the service is friendly and the bar welcoming and cozy, attracting many neighbourhood regulars for drinks and sports viewing, the food is no... More

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
