Amazing Thai food, if you have the time to wait for a table. Definitely not a quick dinner out, expect to wait at least half an hour. Your best bet is to put your name on the wait list than grab a Starbucks or a beer nearby until they call you (they'll call your cell number when the table comes... More

Having just flown in from the UK we were looking for something different and oh boy we found it here. We could not book a timed table so asked greeter how long for a table and went for a beer until our table was ready. All tables are careen style and shared with a real mix of nationalities, this added... More

Some of the best Thai I've had. This is not a place for people that don't like "scenes." The place is not big, it has communal tables and can be pretty noisy. If you don't like that, do not go here, because you will then claim it is overrated. It is not - cool place, great food.

The novelty of their Squash fritters, and the entree, whose name I fail to recall was very tasty. However, be careful what level of spiciness you choose - I chose Thai spice, and found it fiery hot. The coconut water, available there was a great salve for my glowing mouth! The venue is very small and the crowd of foodies... More

First, We ordered two pad Thaï because we read it was the best in Toronto. However, it tasted nothing like a good and authentic pad thaï. My friend ordered a medium spice level, and it wasn't medium or average like it was written. It was way more spicy than we expected. I'm used to eat really spicy food and my... More

As we approached the restaurant for dinner on a Saturday night we could already see a lineup sitting outside of what looked to be a semi underground restaurant with long tables. Surprising without reservations we were day in about 10 minutes at a table for 2. The menu variety was small. I, the spice chicken, ordered the green curry level... More

I had heard about this place for quite some time and was very excited to try it. So for my birthday lunch the office agreed to take me. What a mistake. There were 8 of us going and as the restaurant is always busy so we made sure we would get there by 11:45 am to beat the crowds. One... More

This restaurant does not take reservations. They have communal seating. We arrived at about 5:45. The place was busy, but we did not have to wait for a table. By the time we left an hour later, there were quite few people waiting for a table. The food was excellent. It is up there with some of the best Thai... More

We went on a Saturday night about 7pm....had to wait 15mins for a table which wasn't long...so worth making a reservation if you don't want to wait. Hostess was very friendly. Great atmosphere. I ordered the prawn pad thai which was ok....very strong flavour and actually a thick sauce which I'm not used to so made it quick sickly in... More

No reservations but on a Friday night we only had to wait 30 min. It was well worth it. Communal seating and energetic crowd actually made it a fun experience. Some of the best Thai I have ever had. Subtle flavor and generous portions meant we did not go home hungry. Have the specials on your first visit. Pricey wine... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
