We stopped here after a day at the zoo, just looking for some grub and a drink. It was very quiet around 6pm on a Friday but I'd assume it picks up. Bar rail shots running for $3.50 between 6-midnight, drink specials, great (and cheap) food specials too! Not the most amazing food ever but for the price, who cares!... More

Good food and specials. I especially like their wings (half price on Tuesdays and Sundays) and their Ribs are great too (half rack on Wednesdays for $10). Bands with no over on Saturday starting about 9:30-10:00.

There was just a stabbing tonight. This bar is frequented by thugs. The staff made sure to have them go out after a fight started and more than a dozen Scarborough gangster wanna-bes ended in a stabbing. They were nice enough to let the victim back in after getting stabbed. There are few staff (about 3 girls and 1 guy),... More

I have tried most of their menu's items and have been surprisingly satisfied. However, they are a little bit slow when it is busy. Do not miss their Caribbean Jerk wings. Yummy!

Seems like an OK bar I can not tell you prices because I went, waited over 1/2 hour at the bar and was not served so I left frustrated. They have lost my business for good, I guess you have to be a local to get served.

i went to Kornerstone's to hear a live band. You need to get their early if you want a table because it is so small. The band was great. The service was poor. Had to wait a long time to receive my bill. I had ribs and they were burnt. It was a good price for ribs at $12.95. It... More

The food here is above the average bar. They have alot of specials throughout the week. The atmosphere is pretty good as well for Scarborough standards. The service is casual but friendly. Definitely worth checking out.

Food is good, atmosphere is great, and sometimes there are live bands. There is a good selection of drinks and daily specials. But the service sucks! I have been to Kornerstone's a few times since it has reopened under its current name. Sometimes there was no one in the place and I found myself waiting to be served a drink.... More

Staying in Scarborough

Neighbourhood Profile
Situated astride Lake Ontario, Scarborough is a district heavily influenced by immigration. With a number of low-rent shopping and dining options making it a highly affordable part of town, and boasting one of Toronto's largest shopping malls, the otherwise green suburban neighborhood is a good place to go for bargains and discounts. It also draws in photographers. The spires, archways, and cavernous rooms of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Palace are filled with breathtaking art, architecture, and detailed reliefs – it’s like entering a different world, The ruins of columns and installation art at the Guild Inn makes a free-for-all exploration site, while the big-name draw for young photographers is the menagerie at the Toronto Zoo. While many visitors shirk Scarborough as too suburban, its houses are some of Toronto's most mystical and haunting architectural beauties. And for adventure lovers, it has river-rafting and some unique hiking trails.
