The menu is small but has some of the regular menu items too. The Eggs Benedict is huge with fruit and scalloped potatoes as a side. There are lighter items like a spinach salad with poached pear and goat cheese. Service is good and prices reasonable.

We came here before a show at the Wales theatre. We were very disappointed with the food quality. Chicken, Short rib, and Salmon were all over cooked. What a shame because we traveled from out of town to enjoy a great night out. Service was not great either. They didn't have the bottle of red that we ordered so the... More

Tried this place for brunch and the food was good, however the portion sizes were very poor. The menu item says 3 eggs and I am not even sure there was 1 egg. Overall I would hope for a bigger portion size for their breakfast, to me it's just not worth the money to pay for that again. Other then... More

We came upon this place on a night when most other places had a wait time. And so we spotted a table for 4 and grabbed it, already running late pre-theatre. The staff was very accommodating in making sure we were served on time. The dinners were presented in an appealing attractive presentation at contemporary prices. The seafood fettuccine had... More

Went for dinner before the theatre. The service was not great and the foods awful. I ordered the seafood pasta - pasta was over cooked and there were a couple of tiny shrimps.

Excellent up-scale restaurant with delicious food and great service. We eat at Hugh Restaurant after enjoying a play at the Princes of Wales Theatre

Dinner was quite good. We shared a salad, I had the lobster grilled cheese which was just plain tasty and filled with shrimp and lobster between two large slices of bread and three cheeses. My wife had the seafood pasta and it was also quite delicious. We will definitely return.

Hush is in a row of restaurants, it has a nice eating area at the front and a roof top bar. Unfortunately we ordered the wrong meal - the fish and chips was a lump of batter and chips (while tasting nice) were just dumped on the plate with no presentation. The chicken dish was also very dry. Our waitress... More

Six of us had an early dinner on Saturday afternoon/evening. Warm welcome and we were shown to a large table. Staff attentive throughout the meal. We shared a variety of starters, which were mostly good. I did not enjoy the poutine and my Canadian sister in law said it was not the best she had tasted - the cheese had... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
