Dinner was quite good. We shared a salad, I had the lobster grilled cheese which was just plain tasty and filled with shrimp and lobster between two large slices of bread and three cheeses. My wife had the seafood pasta and it was also quite delicious. We will definitely return.

Hush is in a row of restaurants, it has a nice eating area at the front and a roof top bar. Unfortunately we ordered the wrong meal - the fish and chips was a lump of batter and chips (while tasting nice) were just dumped on the plate with no presentation. The chicken dish was also very dry. Our waitress... More

Six of us had an early dinner on Saturday afternoon/evening. Warm welcome and we were shown to a large table. Staff attentive throughout the meal. We shared a variety of starters, which were mostly good. I did not enjoy the poutine and my Canadian sister in law said it was not the best she had tasted - the cheese had... More

Instant coffee and they don't even make genuine crème brûlée because it's also instant. The berries on my parfait were still frozen and the service was mediocre at best. The only reason this place gets any business is because its downtown and has a decent interior, if it wasn't for this the place would have closed down a long time... More

We came here some lunch over the weekend. We seated easily but were told there would be a 45 minute wait for the food which we didn't mind as we had nowhere to be and as the TIFF was on we just sat and watched the world go by. Anyway the food only took 20 minutes come out, and was... More

We were looking for a place to eat and we singled this place out from a handful of restaurants in the area, we were not disappointed. The portions are good and the staff were very friendly and attentive. If I ever come back to Toronto I'd come back here again. The only drawback is the time it takes to get... More

A wonderful menu of upscale bistro food. I had the Moroccan chicken on jasmine rice, as well as the Poutine. Everything was delicious, and our server was delightful. Very attentive all evening, and so fun to talk to. We were enjoying our selves so much, we probably stayed longer than we should... but never felt rushed.

Decided to take my boyfriend here for his birthday dinner. Our server was awful from the beginning. She was impatient while we were trying to find a seat and while taking our orders. Food came at after a reasonable wait but was not very good. Neither of us could finish it. We felt rushed to leave after finishing our meals,... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
