Quaint little shop to have a sandwich, pastry or coffee in. Staff were very welcoming and assisted you with your choice of foods. We just stopped in for a cup of hot chocolate and some pastries. Both the hot chocolate and the many pastries to go we purchased were excellent. We will be back.

The best! Big portions for a good price and lots of selection. Free wifi. Love all the Panera locations in the GTA!

Stopped in to try their bread and ended up buying 2 loaves, One asiago and one rye. Great breads. Also had a coffee, a cinnamon roll and a pecan roll. Delicious! Want to go back to try the soups and salads as they looked amazing!

I have been to several Panera Bread locations in the GTA , and even left fairly good reviews. My to go Panera is near Square One , however I had to meet a friend in downtown and decided to grab a " healthy" lunch beforehand( instead of Chipotle across the street , which i quickly regretted after). ordered the (full)... In town from British Columbia visiting family, had an unreal lunch experience here! Matt, the manager, is great, and the timing of the food and the taste was on point. Good job!

As above, I'm not sure what my complaint is. The sandwich of Napa chicken was fine- with bits of apple and red grapes on soft whole wheat bread, the chicken noodle soup had big chunks of chicken , noodles and carrots. Not much saltier thanThe Pickle Barrels'. Really it was an ok combo, service efficient. And after all, you're only... More

We decided to have a simple and quick dinner ahead of a concert in downtown Toronto. We thought Panera would fit the bill and as always, we had nice simple meal of consistent quality. I had the soup and sandwich combo (chicken noodle soup & Steak & White Cheddar Panini) with chips that was quite tasty. If you have not... More

Had an inkling to try out Panera due to good recommendations. Went with my husband for a lunch date. Started off good , we ordered and then looked for a place to sit. Was quite busy and packed, there was a line to the door after we had settled. When our food arrived the waiter knocked a glass of water... More

Love their breakfast sandwich which I get en route to an early shift. The bread is great and the sandwich tastes good and is good value for the money.

As a family we really like Panera Bread but this one was a bit disappointing. There were many items on the menu that were unavailable. The food we received was OK but felt a little thrown together - if we hadn't had such good experiences with Panera in the past we probably wouldn't return.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
