What a great store. The prepared foods are great and wonderful for travelling. I was staying at Holiday Inn almost next door and it saved me from having to eat all this restaurant food that I didn't particularly like or want. Self-checkout was nice too.. but need more terminals.

I became a regular at Loblaw's Soup and Salad Section for the period of time I was in Toronto. I did try the other sections within Loblaw's, they were equally good. But my personal preference was the Soup and Salad section. Every time I went there I could not help but pick up a salad and a soup.

As noted in many other reviews, this is an outstanding grocery (and everything else) store. Highly recommend. But ... we decided to order lunch at the counter. They have a wide selection and will heat up your food while you wait. Then you take it away on a tray and try to find a table. The cost and food quality... More

I love walking into this place and just stand there and absorb what they have to offer. As I travel for a living, my hotel is just down the street and I always go to Loblaws to grab a few things for my trip back. From the massive cheese selection and cheeses I've never heard of to the many areas... More

You name it, they have it - and more! Incredible grocery store situated right at Maple Leaf Gardens downtown. Whether you want fresh seafood or meat, or pre-prepared meals you'll never have to worry, their selection is huge. Highlights: Fresh Sushi Bar, locally caught seafood, rare cuts of beef, charcuterie options are endless, 40ft high cheese wall, salad bar during... More

used the parking lot to access Ryerson. Went shopping to check the place out. Some musicians singing and playing near the café. ordered coffee and a sandwich and ate at one of the benches, very nice. Did some grocery shopping, nice selection, a little expensive.

Goods well presented and fresh. Lots of staff on day I visited. I needed to ask a number of questions of staff in different departments as it was my first visit to this store. All of them were very helpful. I was pleasantly surprised as I usually hate larger supermarkets. Will definitely return.

Some might gripe that Loblaws is a premium chain, but there's bargains to be had here. And if you're looking for specialty stuff and a lot of new to market items, and a CHEESE WALL, well hey. The patisserie and tea sections are quite good. And they kept the flavor of the old stadium which it used to be.

Oh my God......if you love cheese and meat, this is the place to go! We just wandered through and looked at how a supermarket really should look. Very impressed. Amazing. Didn't buy anything but would certainly shop there if we lived in Toronto!

-We visited here while staying at a nearby hotel. -Lots of choices for food. (salad bar, chicken, sandwiches, etc..) -they have seating -and of course its a grocery store, so they have all your typical grocery items. (with quite the large selection)

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
