Stopped in with 3 friends for a late Saturday morning breakfast. I had a smoked meat melt (two eggs with smoked meat over home fries with chese and peppers) which was excellent. There was plenty of seating at the deli and the service was friendly and fast. The food was inexpensive for the portions. I will be back.

Just returned from the hustle and bustle of a Toronto weekend . Dropped into this Deli for breakfast on our walk to the Eaton Center both mornings . Laid back, mom and pop neighborhood diner with attentive service and good home cooked breakfast with reasonable prices . A great relaxing start to your day .

We stumbled upon this little golden gem by accident and found it amazing. We had breakfast here twice and the food looked and tasted like home cooking. Excellent service and prices were fair.

It was okay staff were fine the food wasn't super interesting or tasty not good variety of drinks pop, beer, wine, or other wise. I would recomend page one Cafe instead witch is litterly just down the street from that place. They have a mean brunch on weekends. And always have great drink selections.

Not far off the beaten track - just 4 short blocks east of Yonge street along Dundas and worth the trip. The staff are great, the food is top notch and the prices are terrific. Their corned beef and smoked meet sandwiches can't beet downtown. But that have great daily specials. I had a chicken Parmesan sandwich on a bun... More

Not fancy but really good! Great service with a big diner menu. The French toast was probably the best I have had. Relaxed atmosphere, good food and good service. I left happy.

I ate here almost every day for an entire year. The food is tasty and the kitchen is viewable from the dining room. One of my favourite places to go for breakfast. Staff couldn't be more friendly

Had lunch here with a couple of colleagues. The food was very good and the portion sizes were substantial. We all ordered half chickens with salads and the food was very tasty and the service was fast and efficient. The place does get very busy so it's best to go early or after the lunch rush. This was my fourth... More

Located just east of Church on Dundas. Good place to have an inexpensive meal. Traditional food served hot at a good price.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
