Simple lunch menu where you can pick an item from three categories for about $15.00. Good quality and fair portions of vegetarian, seafood or meat dishes. Dinner menu looks interesting and will be back to check that out.

Delicious vegetarian hot and sour soup, well-prepared edamame, and very creative innovative rolls with black rice, that is the perfect balance of rice and other ingredients. The special vegetarian roll is excellent, using mango instead of salmon. Partner loved the eel and black sea bass. Should have vegetarian options marked as such on menu.

a small cosy stylish restaurant in Little Portugal that presents an eclectic Asian menu with tremendous blend of flavours and presentation which makes it hard to say anything bad about the place, except the service was not up to the food. Disinterested and bored wait staff, plates came out whenever, with no thought to have the five guests actually eat... More

Bazara has the best, fresh sushi in Toronto! Their rolls are simple and delicious. It is our favourite sushi spot, we always order Snow White, Spicy Tuna & Salmon, Kamikaze, Volcano with black rice and the UFO as starters. Awesome for take-out!! The service at the restaurant is a bit slow.

I have had food from here several times as take out but recently visited Bazara to eat in with my husband for a last minute dinner. Since it's close by we decided to go in when it wasn't too full on a friday evening. The food is delicious! We shrimp dumplings to start, they were freshly made, you can taste... More

Great place to get the evening started. Sushi and sake with friends. Delicious rolls and great starters such as edamame, ginger salad, and tasty miso. Highly recommend.

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto! The sushi is outstanding and beautifully presented, and they offer a few interesting twists, like black rice and "riceless" rolls. Also, the chicken lettuce wraps are the best I've ever had! The restaurant itself is very cosy, with an exposed brick wall, nice booths and a beautiful chandelier. My only hesitation... More

Came across this gem while out for a walk, a 14km walk, so we were hungry. The restaurant is small and charming and very clean. The proprietor who waited on us was wonderful, did not rush us at all. We had the $15 prix fix lunch special, many items to choose from. The food was lovely to see and excellent... More

My wife and daughters went with me for a casual Friday night dinner. The ambiance was very warm and inviting. The dishes that we had were mostly excellent. Edamame has just the right amount of course salt. Hot and Sour soup was very tasty. We had some rolls that were all excellent! The roll with mango and banana was exceptional.... More

This is the second time I have visited Bazara for lunch on a Sunday. The food was so good the first time that I had to go back. I was not disappointed. Both times I have ordered from the Prix Fixe Menu as you get the variety of 3 dishes for a very reasonable $15! One of my guests also... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
