Honestly, this place is a guilty pleasure of mine. I debated even letting people know it exists because I sort of wanted to keep it to myself. Well, after some thought I decided to share. I go here about once every two weeks, and often a lot more. It's addictive, delicious, and well made. The price is quite reasonable, and... More

This may not be an elaborate restaurant, but do not underestimate their ability to make fantastic sushi at a great price. This has been our consistently favorite place to get sushi for the past four years and it is by far my favorite night of the week when I get to have dinner from Kokoro. The owner and staff are... A small store front with take out sushi only. It could get crowed during lunch hours so get there early. There are 2 small tables outside for seating, but most people were buying takeouts. I found the sushi rice to be a little under cooked, and the ingredients were nothing to write home about either. Overall I think this place... More

It's not a big place and only a few places to sit. It'a more a sushi to go... But the sushi is fresh made and of good taste😀 Also the price is reasonable for Toronto area.

Always fresh and delicious. Very reasonable. Owners are friendly and the sushi is fantastic. No seating buy great for take out. I go here at a minimum once per week for lunch. Call ahead if you can to avoid waiting in line for your order but they are fairly quick but it does get very busy during lunch hours. Especially... More

The Sushi and Sashimi is very fresh, made while you wait. In the summer there are a few small tables outside. The staff is very friendly and will give you extra soy sauce, ginger or Wahhabi They provide free green tea while you wait. Fast service and excellent quality

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
