Went here for lunch and didn't see a sign posting cash only. Ordered food as went to pay (at which point it was ready) only to be told cash only. Not wanting to waste food (which ended up being decent tasting but nothing special) I paid to use an ATM. I asked the worker about the sign and she said... More

We were wandering through St Lawrence Market when we stumbled across this little gem. I had a ham and cheese sandwich, my wife had a toasted bagel, we also had tea n coffee and great service. Great for breakfast as they make the best omelettes. Sun dried tomatoes, & feta with crispy bacon, fries & rye toast. A decent size serving very tasty, hot & bacon just as I had requested. Nice service too.

We had a walk around the market, and had a toasted cheese sandwich at Yianni's. It was delicious. It was busy with people getting all different foods from the kitchen. Good service, as well as good quality food.

If you like freshly made fruit juices or smoothies this is the place to visit. They have a large selection of fruits to choose from and different choices of drinks to choose from. I especially like the Pineapple fruit juice, pure Pineapple and ice crushed together, lipsmackingly good.

The chicken souvlaki on a pita is honestly one of the best things I've ever tasted! It's big, meaty, and light all at the same time. The French fries are a great touch!

Definitely order the salad with their homeade dressing. Wow! Delicious. They even sell it by the bottle. Definitely worth picking one up. Love their moussaka with lemon potatoes and tsatziki.

Stopped by for a takeout breakfast/ lunch. Got a BLT for my son, order was accurate & he enjoyed it very much. I got a Veggie Pita for myself. I took it to my destination and once there discovered that I was given a Grilled Veggie Pita instead. Since I don't care for the veggies prepared this way, I had... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
