I am trini and I love trini food. The food here is great. Order the Doubles with Tambarin sauce with a red solo. Paratha with curry mango and pumpkin is very tasty. The service is slower but the food is worth it.

This place is always packed with people overflowing onto the sidewalks. So this should tell you something about the quality of their food. Once you have Mona's curry, roti, potato balls and pholourie balls you won't want to go anywhere else. Please check your bill before you pay, their cash register is very outdated and makes errors. Ordering a wrap... More

Another great place for doubles and their curry is excellent. I usually get their curry chicken, boneless, with rice and peas and doubles on the side. Love their food. Very tasty. Its basically just take out no where much to sit, worth the visit.

Local boy. I have tried roti from a variety of places in Toronto. Once you've had Monas you will always be dissapointed. They even have a whole wheat option on certain days of the week. I try to grab Monas whenever I'm nearby. It's also fantastic value for the price. If your not feeling roti that day grab a meal... More

THE most warm, soft and gooey roti I've ever had in my life. I ordered the boneless chicken roti and MAN I am glad. It's SO fresh too! The service was quick, light and polite. Try this place out.

I've been going here for years and the food is very good if you have not been then go! I got the doubles with extra peppy sauce bomb. Also boneless chicken roti was a little on the dry side but non the less delicious. I would Definitely recommend this place and the service was very kind and the lady there... More

Goodbye Hamburger Highway. Hello Mona's. If there is a place outside of Trinidad that makes the most authentic roti and doubles, it is here. Actually, it's better. If you are driving anywhere in this vicinity on the 401 this is a no-brainer. Markham exit. Sad, run-down, strip-mall in brown brick. Parking tricky. There must have been a well-oiled hive of... Staying in Scarborough

Neighbourhood Profile
Situated astride Lake Ontario, Scarborough is a district heavily influenced by immigration. With a number of low-rent shopping and dining options making it a highly affordable part of town, and boasting one of Toronto's largest shopping malls, the otherwise green suburban neighborhood is a good place to go for bargains and discounts. It also draws in photographers. The spires, archways, and cavernous rooms of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Palace are filled with breathtaking art, architecture, and detailed reliefs – it’s like entering a different world, The ruins of columns and installation art at the Guild Inn makes a free-for-all exploration site, while the big-name draw for young photographers is the menagerie at the Toronto Zoo. While many visitors shirk Scarborough as too suburban, its houses are some of Toronto's most mystical and haunting architectural beauties. And for adventure lovers, it has river-rafting and some unique hiking trails.
