Some good options and convenient - but believe there are better places in the area. Prices are inflated due to it being king st - but that's to be expected. They do have some good salad options - their sandwiches are good albeit overpriced for the size.

We've become regulars at Brioche Doree since it opened. The croissants are delicious and I love the selection of sandwiches. The staff are always friendly. This is our go to place. Nice selection of dessert tarts too. Veronica

We have often stopped by their outlet in Sherway Gardens where the service is usually great and the eats and treats delicious. But this visit in town didn't quite hit the mark for us. That said, it is a convenient location for us and we will be back. Didn't experience the negative service reported by others and perhaps that was... More

The set-up of the place was confusing to me and the staff were not that helpful. I grabbed take out. My chai latte was very good, my spinach and cheese crepe (which was already prepared but they warmed it for me) was also good. I also grabbed a croissant because they looked so good—but was disappointed by how dense and... More

FOR: 1) high standard Java 2) the name 3) cool eclectic decor Not French: 1) the croissants were not flaky and delicious I apologise for my poignancy, but if you've been to Paillards Bakery in Old Quebec or even the Metro Station at Charles De Gaulle. This iconic uniquely French baked item is expected to be delicious and fresh! (It... More

The food leaves much to desire. It is good if you want some quick so called Continental breakfast. This is the quality you get at a high end buffet with prices that are a little too high. The service is rude and arrogant. Too snobby for a self serve place.

This restaurant features a bright spacious space with large windows. The seating is somewhat limited. The lattes were quite good. The croissants, especially the chocolate almond one, were excellent.

It was not bad, the croissant was flaky and comparable to Paris. The hot chocolate was well done. The selection is not big when compared to Paris.

This was a quick grab and go as our last day in Toronto was wrapping up. My wife and I each got a crepe while the boys got yogurt parfaits and croissants. Good texture and fresh ingredients on the crepe. Desserts looked good but a bit too early in the morning to eat one. With so many wonderful eateries in... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
