We were surprised to learn that the Missisauga location was closed. We had visited that one last year and that is what prompted us to seek out this Bloor street location. The tandoori chicken was good and juicy and the goat curry masaledar was just as spicy as we would have liked. The daal makhani was just as we were... More

I'm giving this review 5 stars for a few reasons. From the outside, as you walk down the stairs, you wonder if you made the right choice...then the scents hit your nose and you can't go back. The door opens and your eyes widen to this warm wood beamed atmosphere. The service was friendly and helpful, but not high end.... More

This place has great food! We eat here whenever we have cravings for Indian food and it consistently lives up to our expectations, which are pretty high for Indian food. We love ordering the malai chicken, butter clean, lamb vindaloo or Chana masala. All very good dishes. Any of the tandoori dishes are also great. Tandoori Gobi (cauliflower) is one... More

Went in with my family and the "bar man" interrogated me about how much I had to drink. He refused to serve us wine until I convinced him we had not been drinking prior to showing up. What is that? Very embarrassing and insulting given that we were regulars. NOT ANY MORE. will never be back. These people have a... More

This is our new favorite Indian Restaurant. The décor was lovely, the service was excellent, but the food was simply the best. It is a bit of a drive for us, but it is now our go to. My wife visited with a friend and simply raved about it. OK. We have to go. It surpassed my expectations. Everything we... More

The entrance down a rather steep, narrow stairwell deceives - it opens up into a very charming space. Exposed wood beams replace stereotypical Indian restaurant decor cues (but the low-level music is very much from the subcontinent), and the tables are well-spaced so you don't need to enjoy other diners' conversations. White linen tablecloths and napkins complete the picture. Our... More

Finding exciting restaurants in Toronto is fairly easy - so this time we found Bukhara Grill, you have to look hard, because it is down some stairs off the street. Great ambiance, food and service. We had between us (6 of us) the Madras curry, Chicken Vindaloo and Lamb Briyani not forgetting the Daal Curry and condiments. A great feast... More

We had a terrific dinner -- butter chicken and chicken vindaloo. Two different kinds of rice, with garlic naan. The naan was amongst the best I have ever had. Went yesterday and already planning my next visit. Only detractors were water served to table was warm and wine was just okay. However, I didn't reduce the points because the food... More

A lovely resturant located in Bloor West Village. The menu offers a variety of delicious dished (both vegetarian and non) to choose from. The staff is always friendly and quick to refill your water. And the food is so flavourful and great! We never walk away hungry from Bukhara!

Beautiful surroundings with white table cloths, a good wine list, experienced staff (Jashim) who make wonderful suggestions from the extensive menu and the kicker it's inexpensive. We had a chicken and lamb dish; naan and rice for $20 per person.

Thank Cheryl K

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
