We went on St. Patty's day ..waited in line for at least an hour..while others showed up and we're ushered in under the pretense that they were friends of the owners! Once inside we stood. when a table became available we sat ..we were told couldn't sit due to it being reserved? We were told when we called no reservations!... More

We went here before a Leaf game (we made reservations) at 5 pm. Seated immediately, had a couple of good pints and then ordered dinner (chicken curry and bangers and mash ) ...even though the place was getting packed ,the food came out hot and delicious ..our waitress was friendly, quick and efficient ..cannot find a fault with this pub... Had diiner here in Feb 2017 while onb holiday in Toronto. The cold weather outside only emphasised the warm reception that I received there, Good wholesome food, attentive serving staff and good Guiness - the best Ive had outside Ireland!

We had dinner after a full day of sightseeing. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect of a traditional pub, loud but not crazy. Lots of sports on and a very hands on helpful staff. -fish and chips were great, big portion, awesome coleslaw. -decent selection of ales on tap with some local/craft beer. -phenomenal selection of Scotch and whiskey.... My boyfriend and I decided to try it out as I work nearby and always refer clients to this pub. We were seated right away but not a single server acknowledge us for the first 15 minutes. I got up and had to find someone myself. Once we got our food, no napkins we're given to us, just the utensils... More

Looking for a spot for some good food and fast service before a concert at ACC, we tried out Irish Embassy at the corner of Yonge and Wellington. You can park at the Hockey Hall of Fame, walk a short distance for dinner then walk underground all the way to the ACC. Like several places, the hostess would not have... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
