Excellent Service and Food to go along with the service. The menu was varied enough to accommodate everyone in our group (10 guests).

We visited Canoe whilst on holiday in Canada. Booking was simple and easy online and a seamless process which is always a great start. I was a bit nervous about going so high and sitting down for a meal - not used to such tall buildings to be honest but once you were in you forgot about the height. We... More

Went to Canoe. Service was OK. Switched to red wine. Waiter poured in glass that had white wine. Amouse bouch was dropped off quickly without any explanation that we could understand. Oysters were not very cold. Bread was four slices. Skate and octopus were OK. Smoked duck was OK. Nothing special. Lots of other restaurants to choose from.

My husband and I met up at the bar prior to our dinner reservation. The bar staff were amazing...making sure we were taken care of as soon as we arrived. I would suggest if in Toronto and looking for a place to have a drink this is the place to go. The view of Toronto is spectacular! I also suggest... More

I'll be brief about this review. Reservations: They book private events most weekends so always call ahead to see if there is seating. Menu: All menu options are uniquely Canadian. We were impressed. Location: 54 floors up overlooking glorious Toronto and Lake Ontario. The view truly enriched our evening and experience. Service: On point, no complaints Price: Typical for fine... More

We visit Toronto every couple of months and really enjoy going to Canoe. Our last visit was a bit strange. After making reservations on Open Table and confirming the reservation by phone, we arrived to find out they did not have our reservation. Strike One. Fortunately they were not full and after some discussion, we got a reasonable table. All... More

The food is more for those who believe in quality over quantity. We had a great evening there and the staff was so elegant and extremely nice.

Arrived into Toronto late and due to a mix up the CN Tower could not honour our booking so our taxi driver suggested this place. Elegant relaxed atmosphere and fantastic views of the city at night whilst you dine. Waiter Brendan was informative, courteous and gave us just the right level of attention. We opted to share the seafood 'mini... More

I have been to Canoe on a few occasions and it is consistently good. Great location and views if you book prior to sunset. Service was excellent with a very knowledgeable and friendly waiter. Whilst the food is very very good the menu for this visit was in my view, a little bit too much on the game side which... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
