We have had family Christmas Dinners at the Banquet Hall for the past few years. Nice halls, high ceilings, clean, good food. Went to the restaurant today and found out they are closing next week...didn't think much of my meal, though nice to have a soup and salad bar. My ratings reflect the banquet hall, I would have scored my... More

attended a 60th birthday celebration. The hall is big, spacious & clean. Best of all the food was delicious, the portions generous. Had salmon, chicken, grilled asparagus, baby carrots. The ice cream filled crepe was soooo delicious! It was a fun evening, and the venue was a huge contributing factor.

Came from a debutante party last night and the place was lovely. The only concern was the staff. The staff was unbelievably rude. They were efficient but they had sharp tongues and were very haughty. Especially the women who talk to us like we were little children. Usually I very easily let people off about bad service but this was... More

Kally's is a Western style restaurant where all orders include the buffet salad bar, an entree, tea or coffee. If you are a senior citizen, you get all that and dessert (a bowl of ice cream) for just a little over $13.00. Most entree selections are between $15-$20. Price is very good for what you get. The salad bar has... More

This buffet restaurant represents a style of mass-produced, tasteless, and low-quality food that doesn't have a place in the multi-ethic and diverse Toronto that now exists.

Staying in Scarborough

Neighbourhood Profile
Situated astride Lake Ontario, Scarborough is a district heavily influenced by immigration. With a number of low-rent shopping and dining options making it a highly affordable part of town, and boasting one of Toronto's largest shopping malls, the otherwise green suburban neighborhood is a good place to go for bargains and discounts. It also draws in photographers. The spires, archways, and cavernous rooms of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Palace are filled with breathtaking art, architecture, and detailed reliefs – it’s like entering a different world, The ruins of columns and installation art at the Guild Inn makes a free-for-all exploration site, while the big-name draw for young photographers is the menagerie at the Toronto Zoo. While many visitors shirk Scarborough as too suburban, its houses are some of Toronto's most mystical and haunting architectural beauties. And for adventure lovers, it has river-rafting and some unique hiking trails.
