This is a diamond in the rough for sure. Without researching beforehand or getting a recommendation from a friend, I doubt Le Petit Dejeuner would even catch your eye but if you are lucky enough to find it, stop in, you will not be disappointed! We had the eggs benedict; one with peameal bacon and one with salmon, and cappuccinos.... More

GET THE WAFFLES. AMAZING! Their breakfast is pretty good too. Service is slow but the food is worth it.

This was our second visit to Toronto and this place was on our list of places to eat. We actually went three times in our six day trip. First visit was on the Sunday for Brunch. We both had the special which was very very tasty. French toast, apple slaw, cheese balls, maple syrup. Although we had to queue to... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
