Mandarin is a well known chain of restaurants that service international food in a buffet settings. I really enjoyed the fired fish and stir vegetable. The staff are great, very attentive and friendly. Also I have tried a number of cocktails which had a good amount of alcohol and tested great. Prices vary, dinner is more expensive compared to lunch.... More

It is always clean and food is excellent and personnel is attentive, but out of all the separate rooms they have there is not one for adults only. There always are misbehaving children around so we go just once a year, though the restaurant is almost next door.

I have been to this restaurant on many occasions when visiting Toronto. This restaurant offers a wide variety of foods in a very tastefully arranged buffet. The food, primarily Asian, is cooked to perfection. The service is excellent. The prices are reflective of the quality, with a discount for seniors. The atmosphere is friendly, and caters to families as well... More

I have been in Canada for almost two weeks and have been twice to the Mandarin. It is wonderful, we have a Chinese buffet near where I live but it does not compare to the Mandarin.

I have been to this location for years and had one negative experience. The Manager took action and made things right. When things like that happen and they are addressed, their reputation only gets higher! I am so happy because I did want to have a positive experience with the Mandarin. We have been back many times and the most... More

I found a feather on my chicken wing. When I spoke to the manager, Alex Bai, he said that all the chicken wings in the buffet have feathers and that its okay to eat feathers. This was a disgusting experience, I completely lost my appetite. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I went to this restaurant based on a personal recommendation. The buffet layout is very well done and asthetically appealing. Aside from the layout, the service was outstanding. You are greeted at the door with a sincere welcome followed by constant attention ftom the wait staff. The food was fine....perhaps I expected better based upon the recommendation I received but... This restaurant get my full two thumbs up. The food was very delicious! The food was the best of all the Mandarin's we've been to. My wife and daughter really enjoyed the smoked salmon and torpedo shrimp. I loved the peppered steak and the prime rib. All done to perfection. The vegetables were fresh and tasty. The desert table... well... More

Staying in Scarborough

Neighbourhood Profile
Scarborough
Situated astride Lake Ontario, Scarborough is a district heavily influenced by immigration. With a number of low-rent shopping and dining options making it a highly affordable part of town, and boasting one of Toronto's largest shopping malls, the otherwise green suburban neighborhood is a good place to go for bargains and discounts. It also draws in photographers. The spires, archways, and cavernous rooms of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Palace are filled with breathtaking art, architecture, and detailed reliefs – it’s like entering a different world, The ruins of columns and installation art at the Guild Inn makes a free-for-all exploration site, while the big-name draw for young photographers is the menagerie at the Toronto Zoo. While many visitors shirk Scarborough as too suburban, its houses are some of Toronto's most mystical and haunting architectural beauties. And for adventure lovers, it has river-rafting and some unique hiking trails.
