Impeccable service, fine food and Toronto's best restaurant location. We could not have asked for more on a Saturday night. My wife's venison was both generous in portion and cooked to perfection. I had tuna tartare and a lobster salad and was delighted by both. Our hosts chose the wine and both the Chablis and the Spanish red were excellent.... More

Took the wife and 6 girlfriends here for a special birthday celebration after a fun afternoon. Expensive as expected and food was definitely great, but I would say fair value for money. Not amazing value. Waiters were lousy. Simple things like having to ask for bread and drink menu 10 minutes after seating. Apps were a short list, looking for... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here, top notch service and the food was perfect, right down to the desserts. A little pricey but well worth it.

My husband and I went for my birthday, the food was simply amazing! Definitely one of the best restaurants in TO if not the best when it comes to food quality and taste! Will be back for another special occasion.

This is a really nice place for a special night out. We requested a table by the window in the dining room, and had a lovely view of the CN tower. The food was amazing as expected. We were able to go outside on the balcony and take pictures, even though it was closed and cold out :) Oh yeah,... More

Not been for many years, but a lovely, comfortable restaurant. It is in an unusual position, on the upper floors of a condo building and a little difficult to get to. Great view. It was expensive, but as it was a special anniversary occasion, from memory, our 25th (now passed our 50th, so it was over 25 years ago). My... More

We have been going to Scaramouche since before it was named Scaramouche some 40 years ago. Their standards and quality of food have not changed. Thier prices have increased, sure, but it's totally worth it.

I've only been there a handful of times over 40 years and not for a long time. I always remembered it as being very good but very expensive. I love scallops and have had many great scallop dinners, but this one was different was different. It was the best. There was a little something about the flavour that was different... More

Going to Scaramouche is always a treat! Valet parking (important if you have a car in this city) and tip top, ultra professional service. The food is always reliable...reliably creative, interesting and fresh. My only caveat is that the restaurant can be noisy. Tables are close to each other so if you want a romantic dinner tell them that when... More

Scaramouche has long been celebrated by customers and critics for its unwavering commitment to making each dining experience a memorable one. Chef/owner Keith Froggett's sophisticated cuisine is presented simply with care and attention to detail. The service underscores that philosophy: unobtrusive and respectful. The restaurant affords a stunning nighttime vista of the downtown Toronto skyline. These components and more make Scaramouche the singular destination it is. And the reason that the restaurant is consistently ranked as one of the city's best for more than three decades.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
