Limit beer on draught, but attentive and polite staff. Not a bad place for a quick beer but don't expect to impress a date with this spot gentlemen. Ordered cheesecake for dessert and found it to be stale. The strawberry topper helped.

Always a variety of people to make you feel like you belong. The place is newly renovated except for the grungy stairs to the washrooms in the basement. And the patio is my preference, though it's small. Don't expect superb service unless it's your local, but do expect friendly faces and a casual place for a pint, pub food and... More

A group of us 6 in total came to this establishment for drinks and dinner after work. We got seated okay and were given menu's. Was awhile before waitress came to take drink order so we ordered our food at same time. Another long wait for drinks ad food. No apologies and waitress wasn't even nice about it. Got food,... More

I've been a customer for over 20 years and often meet friends here for a few pints. It used to be a claustrophobic, chopped up space, but since it's much-needed renovation, it's airy and open yet still manages to keep the cozy feeling. Because we know the staff, (and tip very well), we never have issues with service, but they... More

I've been here about five times in the last year. Food is generally pretty good - fresh ingredients, served warm, tasty pub food. However, have had issues with speed of service when busy. Last time I left after waiting for 5 mins without being seated or acknowledged. Went elsewhere.

Dropped into the Squire because it was convenient to the office. The folks were nice and accommodating for our group of 7. We dropped in for a few drinks and wound up staying for dinner. If I returned, I would drop in for the beer and choose another option for the food. It was OK....but nothing too special. I had... More

This place was recently renovated and the dark, stinky, faux-English pub look has given way to a slightly less dark, fresh, faux-English pub. TV screens are everywhere, it's loud, the food is okay (try the fish tacos or the veggie burger) and the beer is cold. Staff are pretty good but service can be quite slow during busy periods.

Went in with some friends to have a meal since most everything else was closed on New Year's Eve. The food was OK and came out relatively fast. I ordered a couple of martinis and the waiter was unsure what kind of vodka the bar had in stock. After I mentioned a couple she just said that they weren't really... More
