We stopped by because of the great reviews on Trip Advisor. It was busy on a Saturday afternoon. We paid $3 for a kiddie cone and $8 for a pint. Much creamier than I'm used to, which works for a cooler evening. One of those textures that you don't want too much of. Wish I had tried ice cream with... More

Other ice cream spots may be more trendy with exotic flavors or techniques, and those are fun. But I was so happy to stumble on to Summer's, which offers traditional flavors done exceptionally well. The ice cream is extra creamy, and the scoops are generous. A sign in front from 2014 told a bit of the family history of this... More

Despite the outdated sign outside, Summers' ice cream parlour inside is modern, fresh and best of all, has perhaps the best hand-made ice cream in Toronto!! Definitely rivals Greg's. It's made in small batches on-site every day - we asked. With Torontonian flavours, this is a must-eat in Yorkville. There isn't much of an eating area so be prepared to... More

Been going to Summers for over 10 years. Great variety and fresh ice creams. Love the chocolate waffle cone.

They have a great selection of ice cream. The single scoop was quite large and worth every bite. Forget Baskin and Robbins when you can get even better cones here!

They deserve to be named "Best ice cream in town"! The homemade sweets were definitely one of the best ice creams we have eaten in a while. I had the coconut cream ice cream and the very refreshing mango raspberry sorbet. Both were delicious. You could really taste the fresh ingredients - did not taste artificial at all. I would... We stopped in for ice cream after dinner. The long line, and people hanging out eating ice cream, was a testament to the popularity of this place. They have lots of interesting flavors and they don’t act annoyed by requests to sample multiple flavors. In the end, I settled on coconut cream ice cream and my friend got guava sorbet.... More

The weather was warm, so we grabbed some ice cream while walking around Yorkville. Clearly, you know they are good when there is a line, but it is definitely worth the wait. We did not wait too long and all of their ice creams are made in house. They were creamy and not too sweet. Great for a hot summer... More

We tried the strawberry-rhubarb and maple-nut. The ice cream had good texture and lovely flavor. The ice cream reminded me of Jeni's - ice cream made using cream cheese. Note that you can get a home-made cone for the same price as a commercial cone. Note that there is a lovely park along Cumberland (parallel street) where you can hang... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
