I was in Toronto for 5 days. Found this place on the happy cow app. Meals were served hot. Tasted fresh and delicious. Generous servings. The cupcakes are delicious. full of flavour and satisfying. Excellent service. Consistent quality. I will travel from Johannesburg to Toronto again just to dine here. We have nothing like this in south Africa.

Urban Herbivore is a vegan soup, salad, and juice restaurant. They offer pre-made salad options, as well as create-your-own. The salads are huge, especially when ordered to eat in. Once you don't finish, they will give you a to-go container. At times service is sporadic. If there is something you want more or less of in your salad, be sure... More

Myself and 2 friends went for lunch and all got salads! They were all delicious. I made a custom bowl and the portions were huge and very satisfying and filled me for lunch and dinner. Very good value at $11. Very chilled atmosphere. It was busy at lunch time and queues nearly out the door. They were understaffed but staff... More

I choose this restaurant because I was staying not far away, and it looked clean and colourful from the outside. There's plenty of vegan choices, and the salad bowls are amazingly tasty, as well as the fresh juices. I wish I lived in Toronto to be able to eat at this place on regular basis! The prices are ok, and... More

Incredibly delicious food you can feel good about. I only ever get the bowls, and am always well beyond satisfied. I often opt for the pre designed bowls, but their selection outside of this is also great. Their drinks and juices are also super tasty. And their vegan cookies, unexpectedly, are also really good, allowing my lactose-intolerant self to indulge... More

Ok, I try not to go to the same place more than once when I'm in a new city, but I couldn't resist. This place was delicious! The "cheese" burger is the best!!! And the cucumber mint lemonade was amazing! Highly recommend!

They do a range of 'bowls' which all look fantastic, I had the Rhino bowl which was amazing, really healthy fresh ingredients and a very generous portion. The cafe is located in Kensington, which is a really interesting part of Toronto with lots of quirky and fascinating attractions and street art. There is seating outside, so I sat outside with... The Rhino bowl is my usual go to (with added avocado), custom bowls are also a good option. Their rice blend is amazing and I love that everything is fresh. Half-portions would be good (because I'm usually full half-way through but keep eating anyway!) and oil-free options (baked goods, dressings etc.) would be a great alternative.

Love the area, the food, the culture in this cute eatery. Bohemian, healthy, wholesome. Never disappointed with the cold and hot dishes. Love the bakery section!
