We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the KitKat restaurant prior to going to enjoy Cabaret. We did not have a reservation but the Host managed to squeeze us in. The food was great, the service was excellent and the host was very friendly.

Luckily went early, otherwise need a reservation. Great food. Very quaint place. Place looks a little hokey outside with cows and all but the food is worth it. I had Cajun talapia and is was some of the best. I will definitely be back.

Loved everything about this place. It seemed bustling with locals; I didn't feel like it was a touristy hotspot, but rather a fun neighborhood place. Our waitress was fun and attentive, the manager checked on us, the owner stopped by... we were blown away by the service. It's a small restaurant, with tables packed in tightly, but don't let that... Kit Kat has always been one of our favourite restaurants in Toronto. We went for lunch with my husband, my daughter and her 4 month old son. The front door has always been an issue as the cold wind blasts into the first two tables in the restaurant. They have tried to correct this by a series a doors. Unfortunately... More

I had been to this place several years ago and the food was good. Restaurant was jammed but we managed to get a place in 5 minutes. Both my son and I ordered seafood dishes and the portions were the right size. Food was great;staff friendly. The tables are jammed together but it didnt really bother us. Good value for... More

Service was fine but the food was disappointing - just so so. The antipasti was mostly peppers, cauliflower, and cheap meat - not impressed. Mains were heavy and oily - not well seasoned. Overpriced for the quality for sure. It's like Kit Kat has been in business too long and are just going through the motions - relying on non-repeating... More

Me and my wife went here for dinner after reading some good reviews. Made a reservation for 6 and we were seated promptly... at a teeny tiny table smooshed in the corner beside 2 other 2 seaters. So we ordered pastas along with one beer and a coke. Although the food was good, our server was miserable. She was not... More

Came here for dinner on the recommendation of our hotel concierge and was not disappointed. The place is very small, but the food was truly exceptional and the service was awesome. One of the best meals I've ever had.

We thoroughly enjoyed our pasta here, I went for the seafood pasta with a creamy tomato sauce and my other half had the spicy Italian sausage penne. The waitress I think was having a bit of a bad day: asked us if we wanted a wine list and then didn't offer us any other drinks at all when we declined... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
