Generous portions, well cooked and very very inexpensive. Gets very busy during the usual lunch and dinner hours. So try to go outside the usual meal hours if you want to avoid the lineups which in summer stretch right out the door onto Danforth avenue. They are open until 1:00 am so if you're craving something to eat after clubbing... More

Food quality is great even though it's more fast food presentation. Had a lamb Gyros, pork souvlaki and a Greek salad. Didn't have a chance to try their burgers but it looks delicious!!

For 5.75$ and tax, you get a homemade banquet burger (forget Pattie size but it'll sustain your hunger). Excellent flavours, everytime I'm in the area I get a burger. I always forget to grab an extra for later though... I've been dying to try their chicken souvlaki on a bun because it looks huge and amazing too. I've never heard... More

Not a fancy place but burger is delicious. We order the Homemade Banquet Burger, cheap, crispy and big.

Great souvlaki! Totally worth waiting in line (there's always a line) and waiting again for the food (there's always a wait). Nice little patio outside.

I have been coming to this location since I have been working in the area for the past 20 years. The main attraction is the food. If you are coming for ambiance then this is not the place for you. Noted mostly for take out, there are usually long lines, but it is well worth the wait. Where else in... More

"souvlaki dinner" - healthier option without bread. Included fresh salad topped with very good dressing and quite tasty fries. Meat is good.

There's an old school arcade table machine in the front, but not the greatest place to sit when it's busy because of the lines. I got their homemade burger but the meat had no taste and the color and consistency of the meat was weird looking. Hot peppers and lettuce are not available as toppings. The French fries were OK,... There's a reason why there are always line-ups at Square Boys - good food, good portions, at an awesome price. Very good value for your money. A Danforth tradition that also serves wine and beer-also at a great price.

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
