The restaurant caters to various type of taste buds. From filet mignon to tartare to exotic meals. The wine selection is great for all budgets. The restaurant has a basement with a bar and music which can be rented for private events. The chef will also crate new dishes weekly so that customers may have a variety of choices.

As we walked to our table, we noticed no one had food in front them, worrying it might be a long wait, it was and then the music began...and grew louder. My partner ordered risotto and I ordered the ribs, he said his was delicious and my ribs were fine although the delivery on a breadboard with a runny BBQ... More

We were looking for Le Serpent after a group of persons recommended and we could not find Prince street. We ran into the owner as we were asking for directions and just decided to have dinner at his restaurant as he was very nice, menu looked great and we were hungry! The food was fantastic! We had an aged steak... More

On a Sunday afternoon my girlfriend and I were strolling around Montreal in search of good brunch. Every single place was absolutely packed and had a line-up, but we found L'Appartement - restaurant was half empty (even patio) and there was no line up. We should've been smarter.. a restaurant half empty on a Sunday in Central Montreal? Something is... More

We went during a holiday period, so the place was quiet, and we sat outside. In winter months the place is heaving and noisy, but sitting outside in summer is great. The food is excellent, with interesting and well cooked choice. Impressed.

I've been wanting to try L'Appartement for a while now after passing in front of it several times. I'm so happy I finally went! The atmosphere is great; dim lighting, cool music and great service! The food was great! I had the Gnocchi with Pesto & Porchetta as an appetizer and the Pulled Pork Mac n' Cheese as my main... More

This was a catch-up dinner with an old friend. First time for me. Excellent service and great advice on cocktails. The meal was simply delicious - the wild salmon was melt in your mouth and the chocolate dessert the best I have had in a long time (and I am a chocaholic). Nicely appointed modern yet comfortable decor. I will... More

We (my girlfriend and I) went to the restaurant L'appartement on a Friday evening with a group of about 12 people. Our first impression was that the place was nicely decorated with a cozy atmosphere. We were shown to the long table that awaited the rest of our group promptly. I found that their chairs were particularly comfortable. We had... More

Even if it is a small place, you'll be very satisfied about the ambiance, prices, service and location. Would come back.

Description
L'APPARTEMENT - Resto Lounge A restaurant and a lounge: two floors, two ambiances. Old-Montreal would be unrecognizable without L'Appartement, well known for its contemporary menu and its conviviality. In an urban decor, the chic and the laid-back intertwine to a trendy mix of soul and house music. As the evening progresses, the DJ shapes his sounds to the pulse of the clientele. Jonathan Brien, owner and passionate restaurateur with more than twenty years of experience, opens L'Appartement in 2006. A McGill street pioneer, he hopes that you will be his next "tenants" at L'Appartement for an unforgettable evening! Now open on week-ends for brunch!

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
