My sister and I went to this restaurant for my birthday during our visit to Montreal. Be forewarned, there is mostly like a wait to get in. We went at 7:00pm on Sunday, and there was a long line outside to get inside. They do not take reservations and only Canadian money and/or bank card to pay for the meal.... More

The service was fast compared to the line-up. Food was very good. It's a good place to eat fast although I wouldn't recommend for a date.

I discovered this restaurant last year while i was living in montreal. Just a few minutes walk from my flat. what caught my attention is the waiting at the door every single day. I decided to try it. After 35 min wait we got the table and we simply ordered 80% of what was on the menu. One of the... More

As per other reviews, waited 45 min in line, but it was 730pm on a Saturday night - but totally worth the wait. Amazing flavours. Definitely recommend the BBQ chicken taco salad - the blend of flavours was so delicious could have ordered more - shared as a appetizer for 4. Also had vegetable ravioli, shrimp burger, salmon tuna bowl,... More

The first time I went to Kazu was over 5 years ago and I was surprised at how many people would line up before it opens. Over the next few years, I was part of those people who would line up. The food there is excellent and offers a lot of variety. The burgers are great and so are the... More

I've been there many times and the food is always excellent. Some of my favorites includes the shrimp burger and the salmon/tuna tartare bowl. Expect a lineup if you dont arrive at opening time, but its definitely worth it.

I've been to Kazu a few times and every time I go I enjoy it just as much. Everything on the menu is so different and tasty so you'll never be disappointed. I love being able to watch the chefs make the food right in front of you and the ingredients they use are always fresh and delicious! I had... More

I go to this place very often despite the lineup being 45min+. It's simply the best food I have tasted in Montreal. The Chef-owner is always present and make sure of the freshness, quality of the food and pretty much cooks all the protein. I highly recommend that you try the specials written on the wall and sit at the... More

Very long line to get into this tiny place, but so worth it! Can be a bit pricey but your taste buds will thank you! Wanted to try everything on the menu. Very casual.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
