My husband and I stayed at the hotel next door. Because we were traveling with our young son, we preferred to get take-out the 2 nights we were there. We tried L'O's and really enjoyed our food, so we ordered from there the 2nd night. I had the ratatouille penne with fresh mozzarella, and my husband had the fettucini with... More

I tried the breakfast buffet which had a good selection but it was very expensive $27 per person, then I ordered an omelette the next day which was delicious but again paid $16 for it. I also had a lunch meeting at the restaurant, food was great and fresh enjoyed it so much but had to pay the expensive bill... More

The restaurant is good...not great....good. We wanted to order the Tuna and they were out. We tried to get a Kettle One martini and they were out. One of our guests wanted a Labatt Blue and they were out. The service was very good. If you have a bigger budget walk across the street.

We've dined here several times since we usually stay at the Novotel down town.. Their service has gone down hill over the past couple of years. Our last visit was June 2013, we had to get up and get our own menus. Once we waited for 20 minutes with no service, we left and went elsewhere. Awful.

In this restaurant inside the Novotel you can get as well sandwiches as nice cooked dishes. I took the vivaneau and for those who like fish…it is just fine seved with some vegetables.

Very good, both service and foods are top. You can try either the steaks or seafoods they are perfect. The breakfeast in the morning is just gargentuesque.

We had dinner here last night and the food was fantastic. We had the salmon tartar and the scallop appetizers. Both were a perfect blend of flavors. Our main courses were duck confit and rack of lamb. Both were cooked perfectly and were exceptional

My husband and I were staying at a different hotel last week-but stopped in to check out this hotel-then decided to stay for a snack. The atmosphere in this hotel restaurant was really nice-we tried some appetizers-they had calamari and shrimp-you could order a portion for just one-which I thought wad nice-as my husband is vegetarian-this was also a thoughtful gesture... Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
