We enjoy good fish and chips, and really, there ought not be any that are substandard. Hot cooked, flaky fish, crisp batter, and hot chips are all it takes. Well done, Brit and Chips. We had the cod and the sole and were not disappointed. But, portions are huge as mentioned before. We will go back, and will either share... More

Portions are quite generous, I went twice and wasn't able to finish my meal. The last time I went, I had haddock fish and chips, batter was made with maple syrup and very tasty. It's very heavy though, consider sharing a plate + extra fish instead of getting two full plates.

This is authentic British fish and chips with a twist. There are numerous batters you can get but you can't beat the maple battered haddock and chips. Yum~~~

Went there this evening. The fish was yummy, had the maple batter/haddock. disappointed that i could not eat the fries as they deep fry them in the same oil they deep fry the shrimp. I am allergic to all shellfish so was not going to take a chance. I think you should have a different deep fryer with reg oil... More

Great Food and service. Best mustard I have ever had. Space was a little tight but a positive atmosphere and reasonable prices.

Took the team out for a quick lunch. Situated on McGill St.,the restaurant serves British style pub food. Cramped and a bit noisy at lunch, but that's to be expected during that time period.

Thank Pardo M

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
