Cafe Epoca is a landmark in little italy, but my meal failed to meet those standards. Had the octopus salad which had very little octopus in it. We requested no onions, but got onions. The sausage and rapini pizza was sub-par to the average pizza in little Italy. Though, if you're looking for extremely spicy hot oil they've got it!... More

My Wife decided to walk around Little Italy and check it out while in Montreal on vacation. It was nice out and we saw people eating out on the front sidewalk of this Cafe'. We certainly lucked out. This place was really nice and the food was delicious. My Wife had the Gnocchi and I had the Ravioli with basil.... More

Came in for a late lunch this afternoon and ordered whatever the special was. House made gnocchi. It was SO good. Like... amazing. It was so good that I found a piece of spinach in my teeth later and rather than be embarrassed, I was excited that I found another delicious bite. It was so good that my friend told... More

In the heart of Montreal's (petite Italie) ( small Italy), with a terrace on the sidewalk. The food is acceptable. Service is variable. We were at a time when servers changed shifts (late lunch, early dinner) : one was average (so so) the other was fairly good, smiling anticipating our needs...etc. On the whole, an average experience

This place has excellent Pasta and their Coffee is to die for. I also like the vibe, its never too crowded and its very cozy. I wouldn't say that their Pizza is the greatest but its still good. They have very good Sangria as well and I like how it taste more like Wine than juice. The downside of this... More

We ate here, outside on the sidewalk, after a trip to the Jean Tallon Market. The place is right in the middle of Little Italy. we shared a tasty salad and a crisp pizza. Both were good. The service was great; the waitress was attentive and helpful. We were fortunate to get a table in the shade. Great people watching... More

I have been at Cafe Epoca a couple of times. The pizza is great and the price is good. A good option for a family meeting or a friends gathering.

We went for a business supper. Food is very average if not worst. Very thin and oily veal on a huge mount of spinach. Loud and simple place. Not impressed at all. I would not recommend it all unless you absolutely have no choice.

Staying in Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie

Neighbourhood Profile
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie has one of Canada's most prominent Italian communities, with Little Italy concentrated along the convivial bends of Saint-Lawrence Boulevard. Known for its fantastic bars and authentic Italian fare, the domain includes the Jean-Talon Market, the largest public market in North America. Open year-round, sunny months see fruit and vegetable stalls set up outside the main chalet, while blustery weather draws crowds indoors to meat and cheese sellers, spices and truffles stalls, and for regional delicacies such as rare Charlevoix lamb. While the market dictates what's fresh for local restaurateurs, visitors can please more than their palates, taking in the Renaissance architecture and frescos of Madonna della Difesa, the picturesque Rue Saint-Rominique with its cheerful homes and splendid gardens, or the ornamented thoroughfare of Plaza Saint-Hubert.
