Last summer I went with a friend to the Le Bureau Bar Tapas where we sat outside on their street level terrace for a late afternoon bite. It was a spontaneous decision that was made after reading their menu & admiring their nicely decorated & comfy looking patio. The pleasant & relaxed atmosphere made it an inviting place to dine... Popped in for a drink because we were early for a dinner reservation at the restaurant next door and we were not at all disappointed. Excellent cocktails made by a bartender who clearly took pride in his work. Tasteful environment with good lighting and a range of comfy seating. I can't remember what the bill came to so it can't... A year ago, this was one of my favourite places. Recently the prices seem to have gone up, and the quality of the food way down. I would still recommend for drinks. Not a great place if you are very hungry.

Stopped off for cocktails en route to dinner elsewhere. Great cocktails, knowledgeable staff who had beards etc. Can't comment on the food

Le Bureau is definitely ace. Their tapas are delectable and the bar is quite impressive - loved the Spanish white wine they served me. In the summer, there is a beautiful & romantic terrace out front that is unlike any other I have seen in the city. The interior decor of the place itself is warm and inviting, allows for... More

We visited le bureau on a Friday evening for 5@7 after a long day of work and a series of meetings. I come to this spot whenever I’m on a business call in Montreal. From the moment we arrived, it was quite empty and the staff seemed careless. Good we wanted to talk business. But soon we were disappointed by... More

We stopped here for a night of drinks and tapas and weren't disappointed. We sat at the bar and were entertained by watching the bartenders work their magic. Tapas were tasty as were the drinks. The atmosphere and vibe is pretty cool. I look forward to stopping here again next time I travel to Montréal.

My friend and I went for a drink later on in the evening and had great service and good drinks. We did not eat but loved the ambiance and decor. Would go back and would recommend to people as a nice place for a 5 a 7.

Staying in Le Sud-Ouest (Southwest District)

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Sud-Ouest (Southwest District)
Once the core of industrialised Montreal, the factories and historic buildings of Le Sud-Ouest have been renovated into homes, museums, and small businesses. The rejuvenated landscape has put its Saint-Henri district in vogue, with cutting-edge galleries and an ever-expanding network of restaurants. Foodies can especially delight in the mom-and-pop shops in Little Burgundy, or at the Atwater Market, where outdoor stalls sell fresh fruit, vegetables, and meat, street vendors have menus of hot fish and wine, and the indoor market offers chocolate, breads, and coffee beans. Dominated by the gentle waters of the Lachine Canal, Le Sud-Ouest is still very much an outdoor town, with a number of pedestrian-only bridges traversing the waters, bike paths along the canal with views of the Leisure Boats, and massive green spaces like Angrignon Park to stop for a picnic, or to play a sport.
