We have been to the Second Cup location at 2200 McGill-College a number of times. Our most recent visit saw us order coffee, caffè latte and muffins. The service is efficient and friendly. The regular coffee was served in a disposable cup (i.e. not china) even if we ordered "for here". (We don't like this.) The caffè latte came in... More

Quite nice place to seat and work near McGill. There are various seats with outlets to charge a computer. Staff was friendly.

We stopped in here for coffee and lunch before our college tour of McGill campus. Even though it was a Friday afternoon, and last day of classes, the place was buzzing with students, but mellow. There were a ton of students, but no one was loud. The coffee was excellent (I had the Mocha Cappuccino) and the sandwiches hit the... More

Chain of coffee shops - coffee ok, soy milk has a lot of sugar in it I suspect and they don't really know how to make a flat white - too much foam! - great gluten free bars. At station as well as variety of locations across Montreal

I visited this branch of Second cup many times. It is a haven for students in Fall and Winter. It becomes a regular place in summer. It even has a seating inside the building where it is located where students can sit and study. It has its own special student life taste.

We visited each day and enjoyed really great cappuccinos and lattes. If you like a smooth cup, this is the place for you.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
