I had been walking for HOURS trying to find somewhere GOOD to eat. Always an issue when I travel. I love Mexican food and I happened to walk by this place on St. Denis and thought 'Finally!'. I had a look at the menu and my first instinct was 'NO GO' since I've never heard of anything Mexican being cooked... More

Weather was lovely, sat outside and people watched. Very busy, so great ambience. There is an internal sitting area which is cosy if you do not wish to sit outside. Loved the food, beef in Buritto was extremely tender - and the quesadilla tasted sublime. Service friendly and efficient.

we were served plates warmed in the microwave, in addition, they tasted bad. We were extremely disappointed I will never return there.

I picked this place because it had pretty decent reviews on yelp and TA and was open later on a Sunday night. My boyfriend ordered veg enchiladas and asked for it without eggplant. She said it's already mixed ( should have left then) he said ok then I'll have the Burrito. We both got that. Seems like whatever Veg you... More

If you want Mexican food, you can get a small taste here. It's not great but it's not horrible. The prices were average for the area. The decor was super tacky and overwhelming. I have no plans to go there again, but if a friend wanted to try it I would go with them.

Service was friendly and quick. I loved the food. Decor was nice and it a warm restaurant on cold night. Prices are very low. Enjoyable place with mexician music. It makes you forget about the weather outdoors.

I don't usual write reviews, but this restaurant really deserves my attention. What a disappointing Mex restaurant. Like many "ethnic" restaurants in this town, they have toned down spices to "undetectable" levels. At least they didn't make the mistake of adding sugar to it like other places do, to please the sugar shack crowd. I took the 3 course special... More

Less commercial, more traditional mexican food. Still, looking for that really spicy green salsa...

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
