Four of us dined here. The food was great and the service better. They didn't have English menu's and the waiter took the time to explain every item. It's bring your own beer/wine, wish we had known that, as we ran across the street to a convenience store and bought something that was just okay. I like the concept though.... More

Nice restaurant with good greek food, nice service and good prices. Nothing pretencious but enjoyed. By far much better than restaurants in st Paul & Jacques Cartier. Nice interior terrace but was hot. No alcoholic drinks served (we asked for beer) but you can bring your own wine. Would come back.

the food was average, the place was still surfing on past glory, no longer a must but if you want a nice indoor garden and some ok greek food at an ok price then stop by, the street it is on is great.

Panos was recommended to us by a local so we thought we'd test it out, although when we walked up to the the restaurant and saw the line out the door we had second thoughts. The line moved quickly and once inside we realized there was a line for a reason; the food was good, reasonably priced and the atmosphere... More

We have been going to Panos at least once a year for the past 25 years. The food is consistantly good, and the atmosphere is always fun, especially a balmy summer evening on the patio. Panos is not a stuffy, gourmet destination, nor the place for a quiet romantic evening. You bring your own wine (or beer), and dine in... More

You won't notice it in your plate but there is flies everywhere in taht restaurant, particularly in the big buckets that they use in the kitchen to marinate the meat. Do not go there.

Interesting review...what bothers me is the "baskets" not buckets used to marinate meat are in the preparation room upstairs in a temperature controlled room. If you are referring to the grey big buckets that we use for recycling wine bottles those are cleaned as well when emptied and are not used to marinate meats. Im sorry our patio is part... More

We were a group of 15 people all members of the same association and we wanted to discuss some business matters in a relax atmosphere. Some people drove from Quebec, Sherbrooke and Ottawa for this event. Well very bad choice of restaurant. We reserved a room in the back to be able to make presentations and move around to network.... Hello, im sorry for your bad experience, but all groups are advised on weekends or busy nights that we do two services ...6pm - 9pm or 9:30pm -closing, and im sure you were advised of this as well. We do not have separate rooms for presentations which im sure you had knowledge of this when you reserved thank you More

Went here on a friends friend recommendation. Glad we did. Saturday night no reservation - 10 minute wait. Parking is a bit of a challenge. The seating is a bit cramped but service is great. From beginning to end. Potatoes, rice, salad, chicken, pork, shrimp and scallops all cooked wonderfully. And its bring your own wine. Tasty bread as well.... More

The steak was good, the salads were all refreshing and excellent! The waiter was caring and charismatic and the restaurant itself felt like home. A great experience and I definitely recommend it. We had a great service and enjoyed our evening.

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
