That. Was. Amazing. Visited with my S/O for a special surprise. It is better suited for a special surprise because it is NOT a bargain. However, if you want the chance to see true French service, cuisine, and wine in action, then make the pilgrimage and go to Toque. We had the seasonal seven course paring menu and it was... More

Hands down, one of the best restaurants and experience ever in the world. We have been there quite a lot of times when we used to live in Montreal. Last time was around 4 years ago. We always take the tasting menu with wine pairing. Going to visit Montreal this summer and can't wait to go back to this fabulous... More

Excellent food, good place for a business meeting, small convenient portions for the occasion, loved the appetizer with poached egg, "foie gras" and mushrooms, the temperature of food was perfect and ambiance nice.

OK, So I've tried many highly-reputed "gastronomic" restaurants around the world claiming to be at the top of their art when it comes to dining. Their particularity is always to serve food with an extremely high "quantity to price" ratio that they claim to make up with an exquisite experience for your palate. Unfortunately, I've found out that nine time... More

Where do I start? This is probably the tastiest, most surreal culinary experience I've been a part of in my life so far. Everything, every good thing you've heard about this fine establishment is true. The welcome, the staff, the service and the food...The glorious, carefully chosen and prepared food was what foodie dreams are made of. I know not... More

What a great first night's dinner in Montreal. Our meal began with a lovely Arctic Char Mousse Amuse Bouche and the high quality continued with each individual course. My wife had oysters as her first course (which were ideal) and I thoroughly enjoyed my artichoke soup. My wife's venison loin was beautifully cooked and presented and my Guinea Fowl was... More

Sumptuous presentation, glorious food! Well worth the wait. Loved everything about it. Took a while to get to the restaurant as reservation well in advance had to be made. Fresh ingredients, a class of their own. I would highly recommend this restaurant, for a special occasion, romantic dinner and very nice service.

Really enjoyed the food and the ambiance of this popular restaurant in Montreal. Great menu- the duck is delicious, best I ever tasted. Great wine list and service was impeccable. I look forward to returning to this fabulous restaurant in a truly remarkable city. An easy destination for anyone in North America.

Toqué is almost formal in its approach to dining. We have long left bistro land. The original incarnation, on St. Denis street, was more casual and fun. This Toqué, long established in Old Montreal, leans toward the pretentious. The dining room is modern but sedate. The music subdued. It is blessedly easy to have a table conversation. The staff is... Great for special occasions when you want to splurge on excellent French food. I try and go during MTL a la table to help bring down the cost and it never disappoints.

Description

---16 years ago Toque! opened featuring local produce: a showcase for Quebec's terroir and its suppliers. The ongoing contributions of these artisans is no less important today. We have them to thank for foie gras de canard or salicornia; lamb of heirloom vegetables; seafood or fine herbs. These tireless farmers, foragers and fishermen inspire Toque!'s cuisine, on which they bestow tastes, textures and natural aromas and unparalleled freshness.

Staying in Quartier International

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier International
Designed to connect and beautify unused space, today the Quartier International is like a transversal piece of modern art. The distinctive design flair is most apparent at its focal point, the Palais des Congres, a convention centre and retail space with a multi-coloured glass exterior and an equally bold interior motif. Outdoors too, the Quartier is friendly towards public art exhibits along its stylish, plotted city squares, with extra-wide sidewalks meant to encourage long strolls and shaded benches available for absorbing the atmosphere. Fresh air and promenades characterise the area, from the foliage of Victoria Square to the fountain of Place Jean-Paul Riopelle, while the restaurants along Rue Saint-Antonie Ouest and Metro stops modeled in the Parisian style give off European glamour.
